Get Played On The Radio!

Thought I would let you all in on a nice little opportunity.

Long story short I have a weekly radio show here on campus playing both signed and unsigned electronic tunes. I tried to make it purely unsigned stuff, but there wasn't as much interest as I had hoped. I don't just pick tunes up and play them, I wait for the artist to express interest....just cuz i think this is the kind of opportunity that shouldnt just be handed to an artist. anyway, heres my little form letter that ive written up about it:

Hey guys,

As you may know I host a weekly radio show on the UW-Madison campus. The show airs from 5-6pm CDT on Mondays. This is a great opportunity for unsigned artists to get some free promotion.

So if you're interested, here's what I need from you:

1) Your artist name
2) Your contact name (just for my use)
3) Where you're from (same as above)
4) The track you'd like me to play
5) Where I can get these tracks (must be mp3 in 128 or better)
6) Whether or not I have permission to re-use your tunes at my discretion.
7) If this is the ONLY track of your you want me to play. i.e. If I stumble on another track of yours that I like, can i play that too?

Once I receive your answers via email - [email][email protected], I will begin playing your tunes ASAP. I hope to send weekly emails to those who are having their tunes played, so they know the kind of exposure they are getting. Don't be offended if your song doesn't get played the week you send it to me (or at all). If I don't like it, it probably won't get played. Also, if it doesn't fit the general theme of the show, it probably won't be played.

I'm also working on trying to put recordings of the shows somewhere so they can be streamed. As of right now, there is only a live stream. ( hifi | lofi )

So get back to me ASAP with your answers to those questions so we can get this baby off the ground!
