Your stuff is pretty tight. I like it, but this is the wrong forum, bro.

Posted by crusty on Nov-16-2004 17:46:

Thanks for listening, and the good compliment. Sorry it's not in the right forum. I thought some of the other members at this site might like it, even if it's not quite the right genre format.

What's the prob with it? As long as there are some people who like it he can try ... I like your tunes very much and I don't think you always need to stick to Trance when posting tracks here, although you can't expect much feedback...
your Tracks... impressive Guitar skills... really impressive.. "offguard" is a damn tight song, keep it up, I'll have a listen to all of your tunes soon!

come on, the name of the forum is "Amateur Music Producers Promotion". I guess he's an amateur and he's letting us hear one of his productions, so where's the big deal

Btw, not all the forums around here are about trance music

And even then, that would meen that a trance producer who tries for the first time another music style, couldnt post it here ? that would suck, no ?

EDIT: yes i like the first track. nice sounds going around, well done.

Posted by EliPsE on Nov-17-2004 09:19:

interesting style ya got there, nice work.

Posted by crusty on Nov-17-2004 14:18:

Thanks for all the great compliments guys! I'm a bit embarassed, because when I discovered this forum from a Google search it never even occured to me that the forum was about trance music. I thought 'TranceAddict' was just a really cool name for a music forum. This weekend I'll have a listen to some of the music the other members are doing here.

Posted by Perry on Nov-17-2004 14:35:

so its a tranceaddict...
but it int written "Amaetur TRANCE Producers Forum" anyone can post any music he wants...
Piss.

Posted by thoughtlessjex on Nov-17-2004 19:35:

I realize that it says nowhere that posting non-trance music is forbidden here. I just couldn't resist making that graphic and posting it. ^^;;;

Forgive me my weakness.

Posted by travbrad on Nov-17-2004 22:16:

Good stuff! I like most of your music, and some of the songs are really really good. I wish there was more stuff like this out there. Keep up the good work!

Posted by crusty on Nov-18-2004 15:46:

thanks travbrad!

thoughtlessjex: I like the graphic man!

Posted by EtherealSL on Nov-18-2004 20:51:

awesome stuff....

that first reply was hiliarious hahah

this such such different stuff, i'm diggin it, that harmonica blows me away (i am a fan of BOTH metal and jazz and its good to see both genres come together so creatively)

you need some vocals tho, imo

Posted by crusty on Nov-18-2004 21:11:

EtherealSL: Thanks man.

As for the vocals, I recorded those tunes more or less as an experiment and never thought it would become popular stuff. I was just trying to apply some concepts I learned about 20th century composing techniques to heavy metal. I may do more similar stuff in the future, probably with more contrast between mellow and heavy, and maybe with a vocalist. Don't know right now, time will tell.

Today the song "Offguard" is at #9 on the SoundClick.com Instrumental Rock chart!

Posted by EtherealSL on Nov-22-2004 17:50:

congrats man... it feels great to have your music appreciated

music is like art, it's good to know that other people feel your music even when it's more abstract and open to interpretation

good luck with your music, man

Hiya,

I'm a progressive metal/jazz fusionmetal musician myself on keys and I think your work is great. As myself I found this forum by googling.
I've done both electronic music and metal and there is no way that either of them should be dished, they're both completely different ways of producing.
Jazz metal has its emphasis on the use of a LOT musical theory and improvisation in its music. You dont find any Virus-arpeggiating or anything in there that comes close to trance. Its also mixed in a whole different way, theres less instrumentation.
Trance is more based on step-by-step shaping and theres a lot more time spend on the entire mixing progress, choosing sounds, and everything has to be perfect, where jazz is more spontanous. Simply put, trance is electronic, jazz is acoustic. Good job! And I like to hear everybody's good music here as well!

Eekarooz:

Thanks for the compliment and forum input! Is there any of your music I could hear?

Posted by Eekarooz on Nov-30-2004 19:50:

Sure thing, if you got msn messenger post your adress and we can discuss and exchange in private.
I'm pretty new to the forum so I'd like to get to know you guys too! I downloaded quite some songs already but just random... Any more recommendations?
