Arcanus - Ligaya (Radiate Remix)

Hey Guys,

Im working on a remix of Arcanus' version of Ligaya. The track was never finished by either Arcanus or Airbase who also started a remix.

Im quite happy with the results so far, but feel that some early feedback would help get things spot on.

Thanks for reading and i hope you enjoy the track so far.

George

georges hales you're a hero

i've been waiting for an airbase version quite a long time but... had forgotten about all this.

EDIT: nice bassline, very good intro, and wow.. had forgotten how good is this melody technically very good so far, thanks for sharing, and hope you'll share the final version hehe.. this track's a bit of a dream
i love it, good job

so this is the reason you were in tranceland yesterday (well technichly it's today) but anyhow, this is rather nice

Posted by Neutron on Nov-16-2004 18:54:

Sounds nice! Although the melody isn't quite the same is in the original arcanus sample!

Posted by staticblue on Nov-16-2004 18:55:

sounds great !

IMO its only missing a few "teasers" in the buildup to keep it moving (mostly needed before the acid filtered line fades in).

i love when the melody goes up suddenly, very nice feeling for very nice chords

i enjoyed listening.

your tracks has their own atmosphere and its very good everything sound very good but i dont like melodie dont do anything for me but its not you fault :P

Posted by Luke Terry on Nov-16-2004 20:33:

production is crisp + clear, needs a string or pad in there to fill it out still

i find the percs to be somewhat lacking tho, the kick + clap primarily, let down the rest of it somewhat

Posted by Klangzentrum on Nov-16-2004 21:06:

*listening*

oh i love this bassline...
very clean sounding in all parts...
melody is beautiful and the synth is damn nice aswell...
i like the cutoff playing at the end of the break...

very nice production...

Kick could be more punchy ,need to be compressed imo ,i don't like clap ,sound a bit amateur :P ,now melody - i like it but nothing special. I think your other producions are really better of this one !

First of all, I have to say I don't like you George Hales. I remember last time you promoted here, you complained about too few replies on your post. I think you said something like: "So many listeners, and they don't give me feedback" Or something like that. I haven't seen ONE reply from you on others' productions!!! Shame on you, George Hales! Start GIVING feedback instead of complaining over not getting enough. MAN!!

Anyways, the track is cool. Though the first minute i very boring... The soundquality is clear, but I miss some energy. Everything is soo smooth.. Make it more powerful!!! From 1.50 to ,you have to add some FXs and stuff. Also, the takeoff is rather lame, I haev to say. I enjoyed the Airbase remix of Ligaya. (I have it)

Boyakasha!!

First of all, fuck you. I am not some sort of service that MUST give feedback. I give feedback if i feel that the track can use it. In an honest way, alot of the tracks on the forums need more than just the odd "boost the bass", i try my best not to insult anyone with that comment.

Look before you make comments like that Mr Pea.

Back on topic...

Thanks everyone for the feedback so far, i will get round to finishing this as soon as i have completed my other outstanding projects!

Thanks again,
George

George i have a question : what soft are u using to produce and mastering your tracks?

Posted by george_hales on Nov-16-2004 22:03:

cubase... i haven't mastered this yet.

Geo

Posted by Dj_Underwater on Nov-16-2004 22:05:

but your other tracks !

Posted by george_hales on Nov-16-2004 22:05:

I used reason, and T racks

Posted by thoughtlessjex on Nov-16-2004 22:13:

AH! 0:27!!! OMFG, I love you!

I'm liking your complexity here.

I don't really like the melody all that much, but that's not your fault.

Finish this one up.

Posted by Xenocreator_PG_ on Nov-16-2004 22:18:

WOW nice tune. Love the atmosphere. Great build ups. Im inpressed & im gonna have to lift my game! the bass line kicks ass!

Posted by retiro on Nov-16-2004 22:25:

Sounds very crisp production. I agree with others that during the intro is sounds a tad empty! The transition when the melody comes in could be a little more creative also! Clap is abit odd too! Anyway George keep up the good work!

Posted by Beyer on Nov-17-2004 15:14:

Very nice! Great stuff!

Posted by Massive84 on Nov-17-2004 15:54:

It didn't touch me Hales.

The arrangement seems normal, i didn't even hear a sfx sound.

I find the bassline cool, but i miss the aggresive bass sounds you used to make with the subtractor.

Melody didn't really sing for me if you know what i mean, but thats not your fault i suppose.

Posted by JoeyEnv on Nov-17-2004 15:56:

Well produced thus far but not an epic, melody is too bland. Needs a Lange/Rank 1-type melody to really give it some pump imo.

maaaan, i have been waiting for this soooo long, think the original has never been finished.

technically this is much better than the original, production sounds tight. but all up i lacks of some atmosphere. lead sounds a bit bleak imo. please add some of your wicked pads. dunno what else to say... ahh mastering sounds very good to me.

Posted by EtherealSL on Nov-17-2004 18:48:

definately needs fx

a lot of fx... the acid synth is pretty cool sounding

but yea... fx man... like something leading into the breakdown... something more than just a simple crash... even the lead could use something, i can't tell what, but maybe a delay ( i dunno if you already put one on there)

the track needs a pad for sure, i can't hear one in there, if there is one, you need to bring it out a lot more, it's lacking that fullness

Posted by Synergie on Nov-17-2004 22:15:

Nothing impressive... maybe coz not mastered yet.
Bass is very nice, realy missing pads/strings.
I like Airbase remix of Ligaya
