I'm going to Wien, Austria next spring and am a little curious to know how it is, is EDM anything big there? What do people mosty listen to there? I would like to know about record stores aswell, are there any good places to visit?

i'm going there to meet up with relatives.. I've been there once when i was a little kid, but then I didn't really care much about these questions I asked about, although I loved the city.. Wien is a fantastic place! I especially liked Prater tivoli back then

i'd also just like to know about the city itself.. any facts or information.. whats fun to do, etc...

i study at vienna university, but i don't live there,, so i don't know many good clubs here, only a few...
vienna is a great place if you like the harder stuff (techno is very big here, lot's of big names were here this month, like carl cox, chris liebing, adam beyer and marco bailey)...the progressive scene is also growing (seb fontaine is here on the 27th, dunno if there is a good act though when you come here!
if you like drum'n'bass it's also good to live here!

house is a also big here!

but don't expect quality trance played here!

about record stores, i think there are 2,3 shops...don't buy there but i can ask a few friends if you wanna know!
