Ferry really surprised me - I thought he was going to be a softy. Man, he is totally hard core!! But was it my imagination or did he bump against the turntable more than a few times scratching the record? - Or was his mixing off a little bit? Also what was up with the sound system? It sounded kind of shallow last night and too loud. It didn't have that deep bassy sound to it. I emailed Glow about that and am waiting for a response. Overall an awesome night with local Glow resident Pete Moutso opening the night going totally off the hook than Ferry closing the night playing hard core till the very last second!!

Smiley DJ Ferry Corsten Review

Ferry Corsten played an insane set. SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO good, started off with what sounded like a new remix of his which was OFF THE HOOK, leading into Iio - Rapture (Riva remix)... I lost control here, first time I heard the Riva remix of Rapture at a club, it was incredible... I cannot decide who's set, AvB's last week or Ferry Corsten's this week, was better, but they both were similar in style. Ferry's mixing was incredible. He showed alot of energy while he was DJing, you could tell he loved the music he was playing.

Towards the end of the night, I went up to the DJ booth to talk with him and get some autographs while he was DJing. I commented on his incredible remix to Clear Blue Water, he responded, "When a song is good to begin with, it's very easy to make a remix of it," I also asked him which was his favorite remix he made and undoubtedly he answered "Barber's Adagio" with a big smile on his face! He says he'll most likely be back to DC sometime in MARCH!!!! Hah, he forgot about the records spinning for a second while we were talking and had to rush back to the decks, lol, sorry about that if you noticed TA's!
If you guys saw a dude walk up on the DJ booth towards the end of night to talk to Ferry with a red shirt, black pants, with some flyers in his hand, that was me!

Definitely a great guy and a legendary DJ... here's a partial tracklist in no particular order:

Iio - Rapture (Riva Remix)
Sunscreem vs Push - Please Save Me (Vocal Mix)
Push - The Legacy
Dj Tiesto - Urban Train
VERACOCHA - CARTE BLANCHE!!!!!!!!!!!
Orion - See Me Here (Darren Tate's Beachcomber Mix)
System F with AvB - Exhale
System F - Needlejuice (it's an awesome track at a club!)
System F - Dance Valley Theme 2001
Ocean Lab - Clear Blue Water (Ferry Corsten Remix)
Kosheen - Catch (Ferry Corsten Remix)
Dawnseekers - Gothic Dream (John Johnson Remix)

His set lasted about 3 hours, so there are tons of songs I'm missing!
DO NOT MISS FERRY CORSTEN IF HE'S IN YOUR AREA!!! Glow is tearing it up this month... D:FUSE next week, then Acosta, then Tiesto at the end of the month...

hey

hey ibiza dreamz
i was there too. what a wonderful night, i was in amazed the whole night on how much ferry brought everyone's emotions out and it was so energetic.

DO you remember what the track was before Veracocha - Carte Blanche?
It was a vocal Track and it was amazing and I been trying to look for it..

Thanks man

trancedance, i did notice that the music skipped more than a couple times. i dont think it was because of his mistake in mixing, i just thought the sound system was messed up. yea, i couldnt believe he played carte blanche, i was going nuts when i realized wut song it was.

I can't wait for him to come back; he was really into it! I thought it was so funny how he watched the crowd from the DJ's booth - he was right up on the glass bangin' his head back and forth. He is such a cool guy. I did see him and Pete rush back to the turntable...but they both are so good most people probably didn't even notice. What a night! Again, no one wanted to leave.

darn

Darn, I missed Ferry Corsten! Sounds like he was really good too.

I'll just have to catch D:Fuse this coming week I guess.

Anybody know why Tiesto and van Dyk are spinning on the same night in a few weeks at different events? Crazy! I'm going to have to enlist the help of my evil twin...
