I was GONNA get a haircut around where i work....so I thought I'd walk around and take a look at a few places just to scope out the prices...

-- and its about $40 for a haircut/blowdry and shampoo -- even at a McHair place like Jean Louis David (which sucks neway)

so obviously, me being madd poor, i didnt get a haircut during lunch todaii...bah wasted like 3/4 of my lunch hour walking around for nuddin grrrr

Lemon Tree has good cuts at really low prices and you can print out coupns from theyre website and they usually have locations all over the place. Check them out. I had that same problem here at work in Long Island. I was going to a Lemon Tree but ended up driving in the wrong direction and I couldnt find it so I was running low on time so decided to go to any place I saw thinking it couldnt be that much. Then when it was done she said 45$ please I was like WTF. I only had 35 on me anyway so I stiffed her for 10$

my gripe is that most salons wont color your hair for under $60, and that's if you have short hair! i cant see paying $60 for someone to do something for me i can do myself, when i can buy the hair dye in CVS for $10.

i go to supercuts. if you find a good hairdresser, it is so worth it. sometimes you luck out and sometimes you dont.

as for colouring i do it myself. $10, and i really like feria brand. but if you want a drastic change or a highlight and you dont know what you are doing then go to a salon. i still cant believe they charge over 60 for a basic colour...
