A Ferry @ Space Road Report (aka My 5 Minutes of Fame)

The columnist at Tampa Bay Online (tbo.com) who covers the bay area club scene asked me to file a "road report" on Ferry's recent set at Space (poor fella had fiance-related duties and couldn't make it... ). I finally had a chance to send it in and he posted on their site.

He even included my (now famous) "Lord Ferry" pic.

Apologies to the FLTA's from that night I didn't call out by name. We're trying to drum up a better scene here (beyond breaks and hip-hop) and I wanted to show that Tampa does indeed like trance.

Thanks to all! I hope other Tampa TA's follow suit. We may never reach S. Florida's trance status, but we can at least make a good showing.

I'm also getting a great response from everyone here in the office. They like the idea of interactivity from readers. Now I've got friends up in DC and Carolina already stoked to write their first report. So hopefully everyone on this forum will jump in as well.

Doug...you joined TA! That's great! Well much thanks to you for mentioning TA in your write up that you did on TBO the other day and for all the wonderful things that you said about Paul (Santana). A huge thanks to you for putting a spotlight on trance in Tampa. I've received some of the emails that have been exchanged and I do apologize for not joining in. Anyways...welcome to TA! I hope to see you out again sometime soon!

That sounds great! I was really impressed with your last write up so I will be definitely reading future installments. I still think it's funny that you were there doing a review. I love that you didn't say anything until the end of night.

Please also make sure to give mention to ClubFMRadio. It is now based out of Tampa. Russ Haney is the owner/founder. He moved here a few months ago and he has been very supportive of our scene...especially Paul (Santana). Russ views TA, but I don't think he has ever joined since he has his own forum to tend to. I think it would be great to have a feature on our very own local internet radio station.
