Any questions about Fallout 2?

Im quite good with knowlage about Fallout 2 (only 2) and if somebody has any questions, just shoot and I'll try to answer.

Nice to meet a fellow Fallout 2 guru.

How many times have you played through the game in totality?

Hmm... Let me think. 6 times. But every time I play it again, I find something new. I also read many things 'bout it.

I there any mod of the game you can download to play as Frank Horrigan ? or at least have his armor and/or weapons ?.. I've been searching that for a while..

I must have finished this game at least 4 times, so addictive, best damn RPG eva..

There is a mod, that you have Frank Horrigan's armor & his gun (I think also including his close combat weapon).

XYSHOOR's tip:

In Brooken Hills, go to the sciencist with his radscorpion. Try go get the radscorpions glasses. Next, go to Renessco in New Reno. Tell him that you have glasses for him, but don't beg him for a discount. Just tell him that you want a favour in future. After that you must ask him (I think x20) about those glasses. After x20 he will get irritated and will give you a Medical Enchancer (can't remember how much it adds to Doctor & First Aid). BTW, in New Reno ther's also a Speach Enchancer. If I remember good, it's locatet in Mrs. Bishop's safe. Although you have to talk to her first and ask 'bout her language (or something like that).

XYSHOOR's tip:

In NCR go to the "Enlightened One". He will offer you a Zeta Scan. After that your LUCK will raise +2. (NOTE: AHS makes two kinds of scans. Don't accept Enlightment, otherwise your will lose -2 LUCK.)

Go to the Power Plant. After resolving the situation with the policeman, go to the panel with the monitor and use REPAIR. After repairing the Power Plant, you will gain xp and some books from Doroti. Now, go to the panel and use your REPAIR skill on it again. Then go to Doroti for your reward. This can be replied till you get bored. Bug?? Yes. It doesn't work with the patch.

After giving Gunther, in the council, the Spy Holodisc steal it and give it to him again. Another bug. Also doesn't work with the patch.

I love this game man!

I got some questions for you:

1. Is there any way to get 10s in all your stats by the end of the game? What if you don't take that thing that gives you +1 to all stats in the beginning?

2. What is up with that Pariah dog?

I can't find, right now, exactly the same mod. However I've got a mod where in Klamath you have every item. http://www.fallout3.phx.pl/zip/f2_trainer.zip. All you have to do is open C:\Program Files\Blackisle\Fallout 2\Data\Savegame and overwrite the Klamath file. Note: if your searching for Frank's stuff, don't expect that it'll look the same like in Frank's hands.

1. To get 10 from every stat it's very hard (if not imposible). First condition is having the trait gifted. Try to add 8 to luck, because in NCR you will have +2. In San Fran you can use the Brotherhood Of Steel computer (I'm not sure, if I'm right, but there are not 3, but 4 memory modules).

2. Well, it's a bit trouble-making encounter. If the dog joins you, your LUCK will fall down to the value of 2. Plus you will get this trait Jinxe. Note: From this point, I'm not sure if I'm wright. After killing the dog (for beginners and not only, it might be difficult). I've also heard about a trick for raising your luck. If you don't mind searching in the internet, you might find it. You have to look realy carefull and have on your mind that you might not find the discription for this trick (if it realy works).

Yeah, there's all sorts of weird easter Eggs in that game - most of them I have no idea as to how to reproduce them. Once when I was just about to climb up the ladder when in the bottom layer of the Tanker ship (level where you use the fob and is full of aliens, floaters and centaurs) a message in red text appeared on screen that said:

"LET'S GO BACK TO THE BEGINNING OF THE DUNGEON WHERE ALL THAT KOBOLDS ARE AT"



Guess the Fallout makers were D&D players as well (like we didn't know that).

FALLOUT !!WHAT!!

So Bethesda got Fallout 3 licence. Nebody else expecting a 3d, first-person, real-time-combat, suckfest? I know I am.

Fallout 1 and 2 were two of the best games ever made. I have a fear that Bethsoft as you stated are going to rape the game and turn it into a "morrowind" type first person 3D game. I loved the dirty grimey look of the 2D sprite world of fallout. I think the only thing that rivals the gritty look in a 3D game would be perhaps max payne 2.

I got a question, can you marry anyone in the game besides the bro/sister pair? Can you sleep with ...that nerdy NPC what'shisname? Always wondered about that.

As far as I know, you can only marry the brother or sister, and no, you can't sleep with Myron. These are all good things though.

Why get married when you have Ms. Bishop? Why buy the cow when you can get the milk for free?

Anyone found the Alien Blaster (only F2)?

I could have sworn that the Alien Blaster was Fallout 1 only...

I've gotten it before though, just can't remember which game. You find it in a random encounter in the desert, right? You search the alien skeleton that's fallen out of the crashed UFO I think...

doesn't matter - the solar scorcher pwns.

Can't remember which was better - alien blaster or solar scorcher (I think alien blaster). I know that it can be find while traveling not so far to north from Modoc. You must encounter a caravan (this specific one, where the guy or woman is trying to sell you sth). If I remember good, you should encounter the caravan as long as the guy will sell you that unique pice of space technology. However, alien blaster might be also possible to get, while travelling near SF (don't know which random encounter exacly).

Some1 know any interesting things??
