CD Skin / Xbox vs PS2 :)
Okay so I saw some commercial for D Skin (I think thats what its called). Apparently its this removable wrap you can put over CDs that protects them from scratches. Has anyone used this? Does it work? Does it work in CD turntables?
It works yeah...and it works in a ps2 and everything else...so i'm PRETTY sure it works with cdj's
a cdj is just a cd player with a lot of extra features
It works, but its crap.
Its like those freefloats, way overhyped.
Anyways, i wouldnt trust using them in a cdj.
I mean the stuff could losen up over time from the slot in drive (like the above guy said, it works in ps2 and everything, but ps2 isnt slot in i dont think)
Anyways the slot in might loosen it up, and then due to the high speeds the cdj reads the cd at, a bit could come lose, and tada youre screwed.
Probably wouldnt happen, but you should be paranoid with such expensive equipment.
Well I put my flip top on the PS2 so I could play my DDR Extreme DVD Burnt Game

that's why I wanted some opinions. I don't think they're going into my CD tables anytime soon.

Huh?
Xbox > PS2
Meaning Xbox is greater than PS2
this is a Grade A thread hijack.

w00t on the hijack. but back onto topic....errrr not topic. I was thinking about pickin' up a Xbox with a xecuter and a 200GBhdd so yeah, I would probably be set with that and my chipped PS2 for a while.
Not worth the money IMO...just take good care of your cd's and you'll be fine.

nice subject rename.(but I support both the Xbox and PS2, they are both fun as hell) But on the origional topic, there are other ways to protect your CDs that wouldnt run the risk of ruining the cd. One way of doing it is making a backup of the CD so if that gets scratched or damaged you can go back and use the origional and make a backup.
