TV Questions

Who is a tv expert?
Im not really comfortable trusting the sales peoples opinions because they are influenced by profit margins and commision.

Im in the middle of renovating my house. I cant go any further in the living room until i decide on which TV to get.

Im looking for a widescreen greater than 50" to go in a living room with a huge window which brings up the issue of sun glare.

Anyways,
Which technology should i go with. Im would prefer not to go with plasma and will spend approk $ 4K.

Should i get a DLP ,projection or LCD. Which is best for bang for your buck. what r the differences?

thanks

(i feel like Diabolic posting such a useless thread on a trance msg board )

I would get any of the Grand Wega's by Sony.

EDIT: Or more specifically, this one:

I have a Wega in my basement, no complaints so far.

call these guys:

http://www.musonic.com/index2.htm

A friend of mine used to work there and they really know their stuff...knowledgeable staff, no pressure tactics. Small little store in Scarborough that stocks high end, quality stuff and has good prices, great service.

Any reason you don't want a plasma? We have a bunch at work, and as long as you don't leave them on the same thing forever, you won't get burn in. Everything's going HD, so go widescreen for max effect. Those really nice thin monitors are kewl. Oprah gave some away on her favourite things show. I can't believe I just admitted I watch Oprah. But I do. Sometimes.
