Nintendo DS

anyone pick one of these up? i got one and its pretty sweet. i looked on ebay and they are already selling for over $200. the only problem is there's not a whole lot of appealing games out for it right now.

the DS is one of the hottest items this holiday season. unfortunately, like you said, there is a lack of launch titles which means i won't be picking one up anytime soon.

That's true.

The pic from Yan is sweet. I think I will buy it when they release more titles or when the price drops. The only games I'm interested is the Metroid Hunters and Mario 64 DS.

Over $200? For that price it has to come with games. I thought it was at $150 right now.

its going for over $200 on ebay, but in stores its $150. im not sure why people are paying that much for it on ebay. i got mine with mario 64 and its pretty good.

does anyone know when metroid is supposed to come out?

Most people are paying $200+ on Ebay in hopes that they'll be able to get their hands on a DS around the same time as the pre-order-ers. It's impossible, in my area, to go to a game store and buy a DS without having pre-ordered it.

Metroid Prime Hunters: First Hunt is set for a 5/08 release date. I hope they work all the kinks out and make the game better than it already is.

i brought mine onto the train today for the ride to work. my boss looked at it for about 20 seconds and then called his wife to put it on his christmas list.

that sucks about metroid being so late. i figured that it would be out in like a month or two since they already have a demo.

If you get Mario Kart DS, There are places offering Nintendo Wifi to play Mario Kart DS and other games online, Many of the Mc'Donalds out there have hotspots to play with your DS online with other players. Check out www.nintendowifi.com to see if there are any hotspots in your area, however, You can connect it online at home, As long as you have a wireless router ot purchase that USB wireless adapter for the DS.

But i sold my DS. I tried a PSP, but DS is still better

Acually I bought a DS just because I'm doing long ways in train every week. I wanted 'plug-and-play' games like Mario Kart where you just play end enjoy the game. I didn't want high technology & sophisticated games , that's why I chose a DS instead of a PSP (and it's cheaper also)

The wifi feature was a great idea, I think nintendo should just stick with the handhelds and stop with the full on consoles, just my opinion.
