You can do this for around $300(soft+usb-audiocard+vinyls).
I have this and I can tell you that it's also perfect for long mixing.
Not bad. Software looks a bit cheesy but obviously that wouldn't mean it performs bad. Looks pretty nice for $300!
i started this thread awhile back...

NEO!Geo is the only one on the forum i can find recommending these.
but i want some more opinions on this usb device and the timecoded vinyl to buy and virtual dj?
what usa places btw sells the timecoded vinyl?
are you talking about final scratch timecoded record kinda thing...
you can buy them at like any stores that sell dj gear
u just need an asio card, vinyls and the software? what are those things on the turntables on that video?
Damn, ASIO soundcard? The latency would kill me with my onboard SoundStorm
I like the chrome look tables!!....
Do many of you DJs who use things like this and FS and SSL etc still use many actual vinyl tracks?

My question is that, what if we bring laptops around with virtual DJ, how are we supposed to gound the tables to the laptop?...and is it safe to ground to a laptop?
I'm not expert but I'm convinced that it's not a problem. I ground my TTs to the card and I never had a problem, (100% quality timecode signal).
with a non asio sound card, the latency is big but you can cue & mix perfectly.
What do you do if your TT's have built-in grounds, like the TTX-1's?

looks easy, i tried it and its harder than you think, but its gettiung to me, this video is more heavy scratching but he does a few song changes on here and it sounded pretty good.
I don't get all that scratching crap, it makes the most god-awful sound.
yea well what you expect from hip-what. What else would they bring from the song?
I just wanna know if you need a outboard phono preamp to connect each turntable to the sound card, or if you can rewire it so you can use TRS or xlr mic inputs. And whats w/ that tascam ttm1 that's on each deck?
i just got one of these.
