The new production ftp is online! 
And because noone ever reads the old thread again I've decided to start a new one.
Can you please unsticky the old one and make this one sticky luke?

server: midiftp.johnsteenbergen.com
port: 21
username: whatever you want (your username will always have @johnsteenbergen.com behind it. e.g. [email protected][/email])
password: whatever you want
To get an account this is what you'll need to do:
Send me a private message (PM) with:
1. a link to some of your work.
2. your desired username
3. your desired password
4. what you can contribute
- anything else you wanna tell me
If your pm does not contain the 4 things above I will not reply. (Ofcours I'll make exceptions, I'm human too
(at least I think I am))
3. Just wait for my reaction, this will take a week at maximum depending on exams and other uni shit. If you don't hear something from me within a week msg me again.
PRODUCTION FTP RULES.
1) Upload files in a folder with your USERNAME. For instance if your username is [email][email protected] you create a folder named 'pietjepuk' and put all your stuff in here.
2) Only upload samples in mp3format with a MINIMUM bitrate of 256kbit. Or just upload .wav files. There is no MAXIMUM filesize, but space is limited.
3) Do NOT upload COPYRIGHTED or COMMERCIAL material. Doing so will result in an immediate loss of account.
4) Don't share your login with others. Everything is being logged and I will know if there are 5 other people using your account.
5) Don't just leech. People who only leech and never upload something will lose their account.
6) If you think someone is not contributing at all, let me know and i'll see what I do about it.
7) If the server is full, then it's full. I will not tolerated anyone else but me to delete somebody else's stuff in order to upload more of your own. Just delete some of your own stuff or contact me.
8) If you don't follow the rules you will lose access. I have the right to delete any account without notice.
9) Ok, that's it, I don't know any new rule for the moment. Post any comments below
I hope this works out well (like it used to be, before someone else was about to host the ftp) and we all have profit from it!

ive unstuck + closed the old one, ill stick thsi one when it has some more replies coz no1 reads the stickies, how useful lol
make me an account, preferably with random swear words as the user name, suggestions include hairydogtesticles and bellend

No offense mate, but it seems like a pain to go through ALL the trouble of PMing you...
especially when ftp.trancewhore.com has a free ftp that anyone can upload to (including commercial and copyright, lol)

I'd like to join this ftp but I don't know what I can do to contribute.
I'm studying DSP @ school so in the next couple years I think I will happen upon things to upload, but I don't really have access to any files that you guys wouldn't already have that I could upload to this thing.
Where are people getting their material to contribute from? I'm assuming its not acceptable to leech from websites and upload it to this ftp

sorry, but haven't had time with it.. have just got into producing again after gotten my new computer.. so have had other thing's todo.. heh
