[Prog. Trance/House] Supersonic

This seems like a mix between trance/house/techno. Started and finished it today. Driven not by melodies, but by meticulously engineered samples.

Still needs master and EQ work, ofcourse. I'm still a n00b, so stil working all that compressor stuff

I will work on the song structures and some of the levels.

I think the lead dist. sound needs to be more prominent in the tune.

Name: Supersonic
Genre: Progressive
Lenght: 8:48
Quality: 192 kbps *UPDATE

SAVE AS

What do you guys think?

EDIT: UPDATED THE TRACK WITH 192 kbps sample and some new things added
And thanks for listening!

that's a wicked fuckin beat there chap. not too fond of the main synth being played as often and its kind of loud i think...but that's just my opinion, to be sure. i like the various styles it's reminiscent of, tech etc. as you mentioned...something i'd imagine j00f spinning hehe..

cheers m8 and keep at it

WOW this is an amazing tune, really surprised there is only one review so far. Really nicely produced overall with sweet sounds.
Sending you a PM.

the song is cool... the closest I can compare it to is Nathan Fake... it gives me a similar mood.

Posted by darkSIde on Nov-26-2004 19:40:

Dark track here, definatly something I'd hear in a Holden set. Nice touch with the guitar feedback.

Posted by eulerfx on Nov-26-2004 22:12:

Thanks! I'm into dark and suddle trance like this, so this is what usually gets rendered from FL Studio. heh..

Posted by gerrycueto on Nov-26-2004 22:33:

cool... it's nice to see different stuff on TA, than the usual saw-arp anthem trance.

Great work. I don't think you should change a thing. It's so chill and a great set starter. Definately my style. Great Talent spotted here in this song!

Posted by eulerfx on Nov-27-2004 03:12:

Oh didnt think of sigur ros, but i like them quite a lot.

BTW as far as changing, I don't plant to change too much, I'm working on this gating effect that I think will sound nice. Just to add some variety.

I'll post it when I'm done!

i love this song!

there's a sublte funkiness to your percs that I really enjoyed.
Great use of samples & FX!

My only suggestion is to make the Piano-type melody a little louder in the mix.

excellent job - i'm really looking forward to hearing more of your stuff.

Just wondering, what do you use to produce?

Posted by eulerfx on Nov-27-2004 21:19:

FL Studio 4 and SoundForge (to engineer some sounds, some mastering, wav editing, etc). Then also, VST plugins, mostly Reaktor 4, Albino, NI Absyth, reFx Vanguard...

I also have a cheesy, Walmart Casio keyboard.

Haunting.

The pads sucked me right in after the first minute. @ 1:38 or something; when the guitar feedback kicks in. Nice touch. I like this dark tune. The pianos are great. When the rythme starts up at 3:00 thats when i really fell in love with teh song

Great break. It's a very mesmerising song man. Very impressive. I wouldnt change anything (i mean the kick could be changed, but I sorta liked it how it is)

congrats on a great track Eulerfx.
