Hey everyone !

It's been far too long since I last posted an original track! I actually completed this a few months ago, and was saving it as a bit of an exclusive for the Unite 4 mix. But as nothing seems to be happening with that at the moment I thought I'd post this

I decided to go with a simple approach to this track. Just plain old fashioned power, energy & 'hands in the air-esque' melodies.
This is the result

All feedback positive & negative welcomed.

Anyone wishing to remix this - send me a PM & I'll hook you up with the midi's & what not.

love the intro, lots of power.. was kind of disappointed with the melody, it's a bit too happy for my tastes.. but that's just me.

solid production

Hey Bren! I'm glad you decided to post this one, as it's one of my favourites. The melodies are very catchy and the overall sound is nice and clean. Plenty of energy in there too. Also, I feel the title is very fitting.

It's not groundbreaking, but what it does it does perfectly.

Yes, another Bren-F prodcution!! Jey! The kick is very powerful, and the bassline is funky fresh! Oh, that melody is fantastic, though it reminds me of sooooo many other tunes!!! As I hear the melody, I keep singing along: "Who knows what tomorrow brings. In a world, few have survived. All I know, is the way I feel, bla bla bla, keep it alive!" You know, that old pop-song..Ehm, the chorus goes: "Love lift us up where we belong. Where the eagles cry, on the mountain high" Heheh! Sure, I'll remix it! I'll PM you.

Good powerfull kick, pretty decent start, nothing to original or something, simple open hat, decent other percussion. Bassline seems to push away the percussion, as the volume suddenly drops when the bassline comes in. Bassline sound is to plane, nice 303 like effect though. Very nice arp!, also nice pad en melody playing. Nice piano aswell, very uplifting!.I do think that the track needs more things going on, some background FX and sounds. Break is pretty plain aswell...need more things. Main synth and melody are kinda cheezy....main synth is so overused and melody is also a bit to common....

decent track 7/10.

You can if you really want to! They put up a suicide barrier on the Bloor bridge in Toronto!

Looking forward to downloading this when I get home from work - review to follow then.

This is great! Happy is underrated - its a feel good song ... I'd love to hear in on the dancefloor. The melody is simple, but that's what makes it work for me.

fine work all around!

Posted by d-miurge on Nov-25-2004 22:37:

Hmm, nice track, the melody is "happy", the production is flawless (except the kind of acidline).

Posted by Sunquest on Nov-25-2004 22:55:

hey bren
indeed the quality is good , nothing new for u to hear im sure i think the clap needs a volume raise thats all... as for the melody its very love parade style, i can hear a girl singing in a high pitch voice... VERY love parade style, and i actually quiet like it, thanx for sharing man, great work

Your usual high standard of production here. Sweet kick and lovely precussions, although some of them do get a little lost in the mix after the bass kicks in.

Synths and pads are beautiful. The teasing piano is nice but I kept expecting it a explode into another of your famous Piano melodies and when it didn't I was somewhat dissapointed.

Lead is excellent, proper uplifting stuff, just how it should be.

Loving this

Good stuff, excellent quality as usual.

Reminds me of Bitter Sweet Symphony by The Verve, think its the bass notes.

Posted by Romain on Nov-26-2004 22:27:

quality stuff of course
i really like it, and i like that *happy* melody

thanks for sharing.

Posted by eulerfx on Nov-26-2004 22:36:

hey, first of all thanks for your percussion and kick set. i use it on every track.

for the track -

- beginning bassline sounds almost like Above and Beyond - Far From In Love, but still different
- good energy and nice old school feeling with moderin touch
- i like the suddle piano keys
- i actually happen to like the melody, even though i usually like darker stuff.

I say add some more strings or a pad, to make it seem fuller.

Posted by sEpH on Nov-26-2004 23:00:

Wow very nice quality track!
*added to playlist*

Good Job

great to see u around again bren mate
love the fx on the bass...quality! reminds me of cyan dawn bassline (cyan dawn.......what a tune that was)

the mastering off this is absolutely sweet, and it kicks in beautifully! i like the melody a lot, true trance!!

delighted to see tracks like this being posted as 192s, fantastic work mate! 9/10

Posted by thoughtlessjex on Nov-27-2004 19:37:

Good bassline and acid.

Goddamn, that melody sounds so familiar, but I can't remember what it reminds me of.

Nice energy when everything kicks back in.

I agree with Sunquest, the clap could be a little louder. There were some spots where there was some clipping too.

Posted by Icone on Nov-27-2004 20:37:

Pretty decent track mate, you never disappoint! Good to hear from ya once again

Cheers,
Wim
