Looking for Auto Insurance!
I am looking for cheap auto insurance. I am turning 22 so with my age I know its going to be really expensive. I have G license and planning to insure a 91 Toyota Celica GTS.
Anyone know any good companies? I called up Belair Direct but they want me to fill out an application and mail it to them, and the process can take up to 30 days. I need to get insurance asap.
there was this huge massive auto insurance thread posted here once .. i'm sure u'll find it using the search ..
edit: this could be it..

i got a good deal through their sister company which give us group insurance for me at work called the personal.
i just bought a brand new mazda 6 sport they quoted me and my mom 381$ a month
Here's who I use for everything (car, house, life, etc):
State Farm - Kelly Culin
905-847-0012
I've been dealing with him for 9 years now, claims are quick and painless and he's always gone out of his way to help. Rates are the best I can find (especially for car insurance).
Contents insurance is cheap too.. Call him and get a quote!

One just needs to realize how state farm works:
The agent deals with all pre-sales and post-sales questions NOT CLAIMS.
State Farm has a cliams department with teams of people (adjusters, investigators, CS reps, etc) that deal with claims.
---
I heard some foolio yapping at a watering hole one night about "f'ing state farm agent wasn't the guy who filed my claim, wtf service is that!" and I thought to myself "why should he, it is not a part of his function". State Farm invests HEAVILY on their claims department and agent network and has a quick and effecient system, it works if one lets it.
Presidents Choice (PC Insurance), hands down. They beat my previous company which I hunted for a long time to find by a serious margin. Worth checking out, you can get a free quote on their website.
don't forget to take a quote from RBC...when i was looking for auto insurance and had a new license....Almost evrybody refused to insure plus the quote was extremly high even if i had some previous driving experience...called RBC and to my surprise they were willing to insure plus their quote was lower..
if you are a student, you should ask for your schools group rates.
I save~80 a month w/ Meloche beacuse of it.
^^^^ option is the best....or if ur employed, check with ur benefits advisor to see whether ur company has group insurance benefits....I am saving 70 just becasue of that
State Farm is the way to go...

Meloche Monnex is a great option if you have your P. Eng. (as I know there are a lot of Engineers on the boards). They have special rates for those with a professional affiliation. I just switched to them and reduced my insurance from 1300 annually to 1118. Remember though...I am old
and have been driving since '89 with no accidents in the last 10 years...so my rate is pretty good.
I use Meloche Monnex for my renters insurance as well as they gave me a great rate due to my P.Eng status. Seems that reading some of that "flyer" mail I get each week from Meloche actually paid off.
