college. being able to be here right now at this very age. it's a once in a life-time event and you gotta make the most of it. also being a part of Air Force ROTC has made my life so rewarding these past 3 years.

and actually just accomplishing goals at any point in life, even if they were small; at the moment i felt great for accomplishing something i had worked hard at [piano, track in high school, etc...]

i'm thinking things larger than this

At the moment nothing great yet, but one day I'll be a great architect, mark my words

im thinking large shit too. sure getting a diploma from highschool was cool. and doing well in college now is great and getting my 5 year apprenticeship is nice cause ill be making more money. but i mean what have u done in this life thats has made an impact! something u can sit down with ur grandchildren and tell them a story of. i got nothing. and im willing to vbet everyone else has nothing as well. and it sux. i mean shit we are in our PRIME people. This is the time in our life that is suppose to be the most active. The time whenb we are suppose to be out having crazy ass adventures and making memories that'll last a life time. GROWING! and here we are doing the same thing like slaves. Work come home rest, and wait for the weekend. i really crave doing something. something worthwhile. I could be alone i dont know. but it bothers me to think that im at home sitting on my ass while other people are prolly out doing great things.

uhm...I know my idea of "having a great life" thus far is different than others, but after all, it's what I care about, not what other people think...

...anyway, I guess I look at it to start off like the others here...got a great education, finished tops in my class...worked hard for it. Got a great job, though 9/11 screwed pretty much everything in my industry up, luckily my company is strong and stable...I own a house, and just purchased my first piece of land (5 acres in the hills above the Columbia river), and am planning on building my dream home, (or a smaller version of it to start)... w/in the next couple years...all before I'm 30...

Sure there are days that suck...heck there are weeks that suck at a time...but in the end seems the positives outweigh the negatives. I might not be crazy and adventurous like the lot on these boards...but I've done what I could thus far to say I've had this "great" life so far.

well i came to the conclusion everyone has there own sense of a full life. so until u see me in a history book, or even ur grandkids knowing who i was, i will never be contempt. now the question to ask myself is how when and what for?

i can't remember much in my life but this is what i did this year that was a mass stand out.

Went to this place called Outward Bound and did some crazy shit.
It lasted for 3 weeks and every morning we had to wake up 6am or earlier (depending what we were doin) if we were at the school (camp place) we would have to do a hard out warm up (4 lots of 20 Push ups, Sit ups, squats and bicep curls and ya ush stretching) then go for a 3.5 km run then jump in the sea to wake us up (fuckin freezing). We went on Tramps that were extreme, snowed too and some ppl got mild hypothermia. Views were fucking wikid tho. Sailing on extreme windy days, sometimes 10 km runs during the day. Then waited for the big one, a 22km half marathon on the second to last day, i managed to finish it in 2 hrs 30 mins which i was fucking happy about! All this and no music for 3 WEEKS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! i was defo going thru some withdrawl symtoms. I was extremely happy i did it and think it's my biggest achievement yet and i'm still 17 so i got a way to go.

how about Why?
im not supporting the idea of a routine though,, i just dont see any reason to leave some tremendous legacy behind me, i dont even see a reason to perpetuate the fucken species, but thats a diffrent topic.

i have life goals that are a lot higher on a "the acheivement level" than the stuff i have mentioned, but then again im only 20 and i have lots of time to acheive my life goals
ask this question to people who are 70 and im sure you'll get worthy answers ...

as of today and now, im pleased with life as is...and i dont take a second of it forgranted ... so a lot of things feel like accomplishments to me

A bragging thread, I like these things.

ur lucky. when i think back on my life achievements isee lil minor things that i put no work into and no effort. i feel what cards i have been dealt are not even worth my effort. and i need more. alot more. but i dont know where to start. I tried starting my own company. but it isnt a field i want to excel in. and therefore i could careless abt it. However it is the only field i know best and the only field i have enough knowledge to make money off of, so for the money i do it and nothing more. I work a lowsy 7-5 job and come home exhausted to the point i dont feel like doing anything put hauling my ass in front of a tv or comp. however i still work on my company and do homework for night classess i take. but routine is hell. i need to tackle something huge and i dont know where to look. thats the basis of my rant. thats it thats all. i think i need to take a vacation solo soon and just relax and map shit out.

what about my question eric?

Posted by itsTrueSonic on Nov-26-2004 16:25:

we all feel this way .. the biggest question in everyone's life is "am i ever a contribution to the society or the sake of humanity?" .. i ask myself the same question all the time .. am i dragging people behind with what i am doing? .. why am i such a screw up when i see everyone else succeeding ahead of me?..

everyone has different prespectives to living the full life.. it all depends on what you see as "the meaning of life" is ? .. everyone has a different meaning.. you may see someone who sees life in the same prespective as you .. but that's what makes people unique .. everyone has their own special thought to what life is and how they want to live it..

you seem like you are bored and tired of your current life.. tired of the monotonous tone of the drum you are stepping to .. i know how you feel .. you can always change that by going a different direction when you go to work .. or eating lunch an hour later or earlier .. if that doesn't work, then a road trip always works ..

I discovered drugs, and thanks to them, I'm more intelligent, spiritual, open-minded, and saving up to move to Goa, India. :] Loads more, which I can't list/people wont understand.
