good way to put it. this morning, tried to catch the early morning after-thanksgiving sale at CompUSA, and the line was huge. wrapped around half the store. and BestBuy was wrapped around the whole store and barely hit the street. it was horrible. i guess the art of buying things for christmas is so fully integrated into people's head, that they do not know what really is the meaning of christmas.

christmas means the celebration of jesus' birth, not about santa claus and presents.

well the idea of giving presents stems from the 3 wise men giving presents to baby jesus doesn't it? except he didn't have a progressive scan DVD player and a 500 watt sound system...

yea and where did this santa claus dude come from anyway? i agree that xmas is more stressful than happy...only cuz i always end up broke. i like giving gifts and getting them too, but i don't let that get in the way of the real meaning of christmas. i'm always just happy to be around my family and the cooler weather is always nice for a change too.

my good deed this christmas is getting my boss to get the firm involved in "Adopt a family". we all chip in money (easy for them, i knew they'd go for it) and then get some presents for a homeless family who can't afford that stuff. i said i'd do the shopping and wrapping the gifts and stuff if they just gave money. but i actually plan on just taking the money and using it at a day spa to get rid of this christmas stress.

well true .. but they were giving the gold, frankensense (sp??), and myhr for the right reasons .. it was to honor the birth of jesus .. hahaha .. but i don't know how a 500 watt sound system would benefit jesus .. he could blast the christian rock band music .. if they had electricity ..

it is true that christmas is too materialistic now ..
