Dog Running New Trance Club in Houston!

wuzzup pplz!!

ok maybe you've all heard about it already, but in case you haven't there's a new club in Houston called "Club Opus". It is brand new, opened on November 5th I think. Anyways, they play good trance tunes and include moderate Dj's. I am not sure of the clubs' current location, but listen to 104.1 KRBE on friday and saturday nights as they broadcast live from the club. The Roxy and Drink Houston are no longer being broadcasted. Club Opus is also 18+ and usually costs $10 to get in on the weekends. There have been rumors, from what I heard, by the owner that Sasha, Paul Van Dyk, and Tiesto will be spinning at the club in 2005. I do not know of any dates, but if this is true I hope they do something about that parking lot....lol

PEACE!!

I think you might be mistaken man, Opus is hiphop in the mainroom and has been for some time now.

What I was about to say...

and it would be a cold day in hell (sadly) before 104.1 KRBE broadcasts anything remotely qualifying as "trance". 0.02

I've been to Industry, which is okay, and union plays house on saturdays. Other than that, i've yet to find a club in downtown/midtown that plays EDM!

...anyone!?

roxy.....lol

don't know really been doing for of a spanish scene lately.

does anyone here still spin at Rich's. that would probably be the only place i can think of.

well, what r u more into; prog, house, trance...

seen and be seen or just there to dance?

Posted by astara on Dec-03-2004 03:17:

more into trance and progressive but have a growing appreciation for house, too! Seen & Be Seen and/or Dance? ideally, both but more for the music than the people....wow, that doesn't sound very....democratic?

haha. oh. and roxy? Been once; never again. Mainstream techno and not to racial profile but major asian invasion (*eurasian speaking*)! Love my kin but all in moderation.

try these:

Vision: Trance
Underground Lounge: breaks, house
habitat: house "not sure if that's the name of it"

mind you I've only been to vision and it was cool when it barely opened. Lately I haven't been.

hope this helps

I occasionally spin there every once and a while, I know Mathius peeks in there to every now and then. I, along with the rest of tranceision play at Vision on Saturday nights, although THIS week we are gonna be there on FRIDAY and are throwing a warehouse party on saturday.
