great ambient pads in the intro
def. proggy bass, but it needs more compression like markus style , ur kick needs wayyyyy louder
some sounds in the song need to be stereo, and they sound like theyre not
other than that its kewl,
just some masterng issues, the vox are kewl
good work m8
hear ya later

you really are my extasyyyyyy syyy syyyy syyyy

Yeah I went crazy with the Pan on almost all the parts. Most of the layers in the song are biased either left or right, trying to offset all the layers against each other.

Gets the thumbs up from me - i love the original and this is no exception.

Great dreamy intro, nice buildup synth.
Maybe pump up the kick a bit like Sunquest said.

Other than that - great tune.

definately cool. Only thing i could say is that there are little clicks in it during the singing and the bass drum should b a little more bold, it's bad assd besides that though. Great tune.

Yeah, reason for the clicks during the verses is I couldnt find the acappella so i had to bootleg them from another mix. After immense EQing and compression thats the end result, if anyone wants to throw me the acappella I could fix this

Good ambience in the intro.

Bleh, vocals. At least they don't take front and center, although they could be less intelligible.

Around the end, that Amp Decay on the kick seems to vary a lot. You might want to look into that.

the intro was really cool... for bassline I would put some chorus on it and put a degrader (bitrate distortion) on it... then put a sidechain gate on the kick and the bass so the bass ducks everytime the kick kicks (because it's boring the way it is IMO). that's a common thing to do for that genre... and perhaps some more percussion... you could probably pinch some loops off other tracks. maybe have one of the percloops bandpass filtering around with some delay... other prog things to do... maybe more sine melodies going around...

the track is too simple IMO... but o well sometimes simplicity is good... overall it sounds good. I like it better than the original.

hmm I didn't really notice any clicks... maybe I wasn't listening closely.. I'll check again, but if I didn't hear them the first time... they shouldn't be much a problem then.

maybe the compression you got going on the acapella is bringing those clicks out a bit, you might want to mess with it a bit,

(keep in mind im checking this from crap computer speakers at work so my input might be invalid :P)

neat intro! very calming...esp at this hr (11:30 pm :P) . Did u cut the vocals from the orig?? hehe...too noticeable. I think the song is too simple. Kinda plain at certain areas . Percussion could use some more work...woudlve liked to hear more perc. Whts up with the kick...are they always that weak in prog. traks? (i dont listen to prog so i dunno)

after listening to the song its pretty nice. I love how calm and simplistic it is now. Maybe u culdve eccentuated the lead melody a bit more?

good job, i enjoyed it

yeah, i cut the vocals from the original, its pretty noticable but best i could do not having the acappella. I boosted the kick on the 2nd cut (still too quiet??) and added compression on the bass along with a few other things. I might simulate a stereo delay on certain layers for the "mastered" effect. I also plan on adding variation to the percussion. Thanks for all the input!
