-- Ron Van Den Beuken - Overload (Original & Dub Mixes)

Posted by phl1979 on Nov-26-2004 20:12:

Smiley DJ Ron Van Den Beuken - Overload (Original & Dub Mixes)

Ron has outdone himself once again, this time with some sort of remake of Overdrive. And where did I hear that bassline before?

This guy definately makes maximum use of his synth settings.

Keep on bringing those beauties Ron, each new song brings a smile to my face

Prefer the Original Mix btw.

Your opinions?

The Dub is ok, nothing amazing imho, but it's solid enough for what it is

its the suckiest release of liquid recordings ever!

shame!

Ron van den Beuken should be banned out of all studio's.....

If each song has to be unique and original, we could ban most trance artists.

I like RvdB's sound a lot, it really does well on the dancefloor, but indeed he doesn't score points for having an innovating sound.

It's not about the originality this time, ... it's about Ron van den Beuken, ...

RvdB productions are second to none.

to say he doesnt score points for having an innovative sound is a stupid comment u retard. his sound is innovative and original.

the only thing is he uses it in all his songs.

but theyre all fucking awesome so whos complaining...?

no it isnt

and i like his tracks,

i like this track too - but to say its 'innovative' is pretty fucking stupid really. Just take it for what it is.

Let me rephrase then: Ron doesn't score points for making progression in his sound. I thought Timeless (RvdB Remix) was innovative, but after A Forest (RvdB Remix), Clocks (RvdB Remix) and Endless I get the point. That doesn't mean I don't like his sound, only that I know what is coming as soon as Ron releases a new track.

aye, i loved the rvdb rmx of timeless but ever since he's just raped the same sound beyond comprehension. in fact hardly calling it a sound, hes just rehashed the same tune over and over

Exactly. I love his sound, but I guarentee you that if you played all his tracks consecutively, poeple will think you've got a CD on REPEAT!

There's really no versatility to him.

overload, endless etc.

check his tune names.
like someone said on some chat i was chatting in, maybe the tune names tell something about his views on the subject too.
i think he's just laughing at dumb people buying the same tracks with minor changes all over again. and people are dumb enough to buy them and he gets more money.
he's done quite a few nice productions IMO, but it's just crap how god damn much he recycles his sounds once he gets a new one.

thats cool, throwing comments anonymous on the net subjected to an artist instead of his music? And not even give a decent reason

About Ron van den Beuken, he did other projects like Floyd - Any Given Day and The Mystery stuff where he proves he can make other cool sounding tracks

... Ron van den beuken name has a "trademark" sound. it's a sort of profile sound for that name. i didnt like Endless, but this release is pretty ok again. Although he should really stop now using those sounds...

what I meant to say was, I liked this typical Ron van Den Beuken sound in tracks like Twister, but then it get's so fucking annoying and so bloody made for cashing in only... sort of a Tiesto story you know? Tiesto used to make good stuff too, so don't throw that at me just because you do like it and I don't!

I expected more from Ron. Crappy production.
