Deep Dish @ FUR Review
FIrst time seein them...def impressed. Just got back to PA and recoverin from a crazy night. Fur's a great venue-much better than insomnia was. Anyway songs i can remember--- Nightmare

what an awesome awesome night. SOOOO glad they played "say hello"-- what a hot song. that was one of the funkiest, deepest, sexy sets i have heard in a long time...definitely will try to see them again.
good seeing the usual crowd, and brian i was so glad you could make it down with all your boys. 
can't wait to hang out again at armin!!! 
yah ali kicked assssssss...sharam was ok too wasn't feeling him as much as ali tho.....

Only thing that sucked was them cutting the night short @ 5 when they were suppost to play till 6. IMO, Ali was on fire.....deff the best of the two. Was great partying with everybody.

Last night was insane! I was so pumped that I couldnt stay home so I went out pregamin by myself at around 8 pm. Downed about 3 tequila shots, then made my way to McDonalds to meet up with Brian and his friends, Janette, Danny, Amy and Reuben. . . . .and yes, Capt Morgan was there 
The highlight of the meetup was Brian talkin smack to the innercity kids about the Pitt vs Redskins game and told the kids that he'd put money on it. Then one of the kids said "oh yea? what money?" Then Brian whips out this big ass wad of cash and all the kids got quiet. HAHAHAHA 
So we make our way to the club and by that time Ali was pumpin the beats. Really really banging and the whole dance floor was jumpin. Once Sharam arrived, it seemed like the mafia arrived to the dj booth cuz a bunch of dudes walked up and none of them were glow crew. Also, the dance floor got even more packed. Sharam started off with a lot of vocals, actually slowin down the tempo a bit, then an hour later LET IT RIPPPPPPED. Man it was CRAAAAZY. Everyone was goin buck wild jumpin up and down.
Overall, after partying up at Roxy for Steve Lawler in NYC, I was happy to be back in DC because compared to NYC, i experienced absolutely no rudeness from other ppl. And to top it off, after seeing Deep Dish in NYC and Toronto, seeing them here in DC is like homecoming to me. It's always a good feeling to see them playing here in DC after making such an impact around the world at spots like Guvernment and Creamfields.
The two tracks that absolutely made my night were
Brainbug - Nightmare (OMFG remix) <----------INSANE! someone find out what mix it was. SOOOOO siiiiick.
Deep Dish - Say Hello <--------- I called Mike's celly when this came on and recorded the whole song on his voice mail. I almost cried when Sharam played this FOREAL!
Lastly, I wanted to say that it's always a pleasure to see everyone out and together again and not to mention all of the n00bies coming out from lurking and introducing themselves.

awww..im so upset that i didn't make it to this one. as i read, their set is much more like the great essential mix they had this past summer at creamfields!!! i can't believe they played two of my fave tracks atm...owner of a lonely heart and say hello! i couldn't make it to dc after an insane friday night at crobar with eric morillo!!! plus no one was coming for the ride from nyc! ekkk i couldn't drive by myself being *ehem* *ehem* the night before
anyways, glad everyone had an awesome time

Piece of shit bank that it is. Needless to say, I'm looking into a different bank that will clear my check by Saturday morning the latest!!!!! Maybe Commerce or something. Sorry I missed out!!!!!!!! Will be coming down for Armin on the 11th. Taking $200 and putting it on the side right now so I don't get into the same jam again!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

ok, i guess its time for a review.
i went there with the preconceived notion that i was going to be bored all night, b/c the last time i saw deep dish, i was completely bored and unimpressed (this was at Space, miami, last year). but as soon as we got in there, i changed my mind. the music started out hard and upbeat.. it got dark and hard, and all in all, i really enjoyed their set. i'm glad i gave deep dish another chance.
it seemed like a lot of the regular glowheads were missing! where were u guys? but it was great seeing the rest of u, and partying with charlie of course!! FUR is really starting to feel like "glow" again. so panorama, whatever you guys are doing, keep doing it!
here's to many more memories to come for '05....

1) +1 for OMFG brainbug-nightmare! havent heard that song in ages!
2) first time i ever heard "Say Hello" <-- yeah, what a n00b. def one of my favorite tracks of the night.

Def. an amazin' night all around. Tyas and T-Dog, nice chillin' with you once again. Can't wait 'till AVB in 2 weeks. I think I need a vacation next weekend to recuperate. I'll post pics and vids when I figure out how.
