Need for speed underground 2

Anyone play this? Ive had it for a few days and been playing like mad! not started to play online yet though, going to wait untill ive unlocked the skyline!

if anyone has problems finding any of the performance shops etc ive uploaded a map to my website showing their locations

Maybe you can help me with a question though. I've got a completely modded RSX with all the extreme packages. But for some reason if I go into change parts, it indicates that I have the potential to have better handling based on my suspension packages i.e. it shows the little orange bar when I highlight an installed suspension part. However, when I install the part my handling increases to where the orange bar was displayed but, as soon as I exit the change parts menu, my handling goes back down to where it was before! Are certain cars limited to what their capabilities are? My top speed and acceleration are fully to the max on this car, better than on my Evo but the Evo handles better. If I could fix this problem the RSX would handle better than the Evo tho.

Either way, this game is fun as can be.

A real racing game? So your comparing NFSU2 & Gran Turismo? How can you compare them, there not anything like eachother.

Um I beat the career mode but my completion status says 67% and I only missed like 5 of the races. Never the less its a good game filled with cars and hookups.

I have given up on all racing games on consoles except the Gran Turismo series. I've been playing the GT4 demo, the first 150 seconds of Nurburgring and have had WAY more fun with that than NFS:U2. Need for Speed just doesn't have anything to do with driving. At all.

not a bad game... its just a bit too annoying with all the driving.. which sounds stupid i know.. i way more liked the first one. but this you have a race, drive to your next ace, drive to a tune up shop, drive to next race, drive in the race... got on my tits a bit, but a good game tho... so much more to do than the first. but i think the tracks wernt as open so you couldnt get as good a race as ine the first NFSU, which pissed me off a bit

i suddenly got bored with this game. My graphics card doesn't work poperly with that game so i'm waiting untill i buy a new one, then i might finish it

there was a skyline in the first one
the megalow shop is on your map when u start the game

No it wasn't. As far as i remember, Tokyo Exreme Racer on Dreamcast had it first. So i'm pretty sure it wasn't stolen from any game. That's pretty much what people do in real life in the racing scene, actually looking for random races. This game actually is trying to bring out the underground street racing scene. I don't think they were trying to "steal" ideas from others games.

hmm interesting...I kinda agree on that pt about reflecting the real underground racing scene....but anyways for some reason i found that game kinda boring....I prefer burn out 3...that game is awesome!

Me the same, I got geforce 2 mx400 sucky card.

after buying it i think its a pretty good game, better than the first 1; however, how do you get a paint job? i went to the body shop and specialty shop and theres no option for paint job.

it takes a bit of work in the game...from my experience you couldnt do it right away, you had to do some other stuff(not sure what that is)

this is a pretty damn good game. ive played and passed every major need for speed title, and this one gets my approval!

btw - you cannot get 100% completion by just going through the story mode of the game. after you are done the story mode you should be at about 70% done. just got the "world map" in your garage and look through the races, the remaining races will be "not completed"

I've done everything and only can get to 98%. Not sure where the other 2% are, but I've completed every race on the World Map.

i highly recommend you all play Live For Speed. if you buy a wheel and get the game, it is the most realistic driving experience you will ever find ( at least for now.) anyway if any of you decide to pick this game up (liveforspeed.net) lemme know and we can get on a server

try reinstalling your video and sound drivers. when i installed a different game and was all choppy (graphics and sound), i reinstalling the drivers and everything was all good
