Getting fraud emails from paypal.
ok well obviously its not the real paypal, but i keep getting fraud emails that claim to be from paypal.
The exact same thing that i keep constantly recieving is below.
http://www.millersmiles.co.uk/ident...information.php
Now i keep getting that, and it says that if they dont get the email by (whatever) date your account will be suspended. Then 2 days later i get another saying the same thing, except the date is extended by four days.
Now i dont know if getting emails like this is a normal thing for you guys, but its the first case that ive run into, so i thought id let you know, because i dont know if i have to change my email adress now or what? Hotmail finally extended my email capacity, and now im going to have to open up a crappy small one?
Oh yeah, and I pretty much just kept on ignoring them until about the tenth, when i replied to the email saying "I do not use your services, nor have i used them in the past" And i got some crazy looking reply back. I thought that was weird, so i actually clicked the "login" link that was in the email, and the front part of the url wasnt paypal, it was just an ip address.
Anyways, anyone else had funny scam emails? Share your stories.

it's freaken annoying.
Why dont you just block the address
I can hook you up with Gmail if you want. That's 1GB of storage.
I've gotten fakes a couple times before.
I get about 4 or 5 fraud PayPal emails and about 6 fraud Ebay ones per day.
I just delete them.
I used to forward them to eBay and PayPal, but apparently they haven't done anything about it.
Yeah, fraud emails phishing for info are getting more common even though the are cracking down more than ever. The punishment is 0, so it's not a big deal to "break the law".
Anyway, yeah I usually forward the links with the details...mainly cuz I don't have anything better to do...some of them eventually disappear. My best one yet was a www.'something'.com/ebay/ where it asked for passwords and cc info...but simply removing the ebay folder revealed a families personal homepage complete with family pictures...a couple from Arkansas...with 2 dogs they were very proud of....stupid people, looking for people even 'stupider'.
haha

i got one in my junk email and went ahead and followed directions and filled it out completely, with fake info.
first i put in a fake user id, and cracker ass password, and it proceeded to ask me for my bank routing / acct #'s, credit card numbers, debit card numbers, pin numbers, social security number, addresses...
all fake stuff i typed in, but i just wanted to see if it actually would let me fill it all out.
i hope the scammers get cought and their balls ripped off...
