John Wright pres. Elixir – Midnight Inspiration [128Kbps Sample]

Greetings all!

The follow up to my debut track ‘Combustion’ written and produced with Stevie Hunter aka ‘Timefactor’ and Paul Mendez (ID&T / Bonzai) is almost completed. Whilst ‘Combustion’ has tuned out as a bit of a techy stomping banger, ‘Midnight Inspiration’ is being written with a more laid-back atmosphere in mind.

‘Combustion’ has so far received plays from Bone at Passion @ The Emporium, Big Al @ Escape, Wales’ biggest club. After being on a very steep learning curve for the past few months, this is my first solo venture and so I’m eager to get fresh opinions. Please take a moment and let me know your thoughts. I already have certain changes in mind but I’m interested to see what people think overall.

i loved that chord progression during the break. shame it doesn't come back later on

that breakbeat part lasts a bit too long, takes away the attention of the listener. i don't really like that main squeaky synth either.

there's potential, but there isn't happening enough throughout the whole track. the mix is also too compressed at the moment. there is still some work to do.

hey man, i really love these beats, great kick, but overall the whole song has to be MUCH louder...
bass needs a little fixing, but the clap is crazy man i love it, so pumping just my style

nice one John cool synths and fx sounds... the bass is a bit weak... i think it needs a subbass, the melodies are good
