I am sorry I am a little late in discovering this DJ but.......

Holy Shit! This guy is amazing. I just finished listening to his Essential Mix and all I can say is 'WOW'.

His mixing and track selection is incredible.

Keep up the good work Matthew.

Former member of Second Sun too, and Matt is also an incredible producer, check out Passion, Higher Thoughts, Space Mountain Tablet, just to name a few.

Yeah, he's a pretty damn good producer and not a bad DJ either.

Bad, Clearing The Mind, The Deep Show, Digifruitella, Space Mountain Tablet, God's Answer, Behind Secret Borders, Higher Thoughts, Symbiosis, Time To Think and his bootleg mix of Intergalactic Planetary are all solid efforts imo. He's done some kickass remixes as well, like his remixes of Corrective Tones, See Me Fall and City Lights.

Only Dekay track I really dislike is Taurus, but he abandoned that one for a reason.

I'll be honest.

The reason why I like his style is because its not the typical 'oh thats interesting music' but rather ' oh my god i need to dance music'

It was crazy how he was layering good shit on top of good shit. It was funky but groovin.

Can't speak for his DJing, but production-wise he's perhaps the most consistent artist at the moment. He covers a lot of ground too, from peak-time anthems like If I Could Fly to techy, percussion-driven bangers ala Monochrome, to proggy breaks like Time To Think (Rewind Mix). His sound is only getting more refined, too. Keep on rolling Matt.

Honestly, his essential mix didn't impress me much. I don't have the smallest clue why people say it was so great. Maybe i have to listen to it again

Anyway, as a producer i think he's quite good, i've liked a lot some of his tracks.

matthew dekay is the man...him and anthony pappa own the prog house world...
try listening to dekay's set on fbi radio on 9-11-04 and his set live from sweetchilli later that same day...
the fbi radio set is an hour long only but for me is the best set of the year

i love matthew dekay, but his essential mix was not as good as his ASOT set....that was just incredible!!!

However, he did play my fav track Behind Secret Borders in his essential mix, but the ASOT set was mind blowing

i have a 16B "Fast Forward" set from Proton Radio and i still haven't gotten a tracklist for it...i've been searching everywhere...even on the proton radio site. anyway, during the set, the guy was speaking some diff language but i remember he said, "Matthew Deekay" ..don't know if he was spinning or if he was just talking about him...

by the way, if anyone knows anything about that set hook it up!! the only thing i know about it is, it has Medway "Trauma" Inkfish remix in it...and it's probably old...like a year ago. there are 2 songs at the end that are literally my favorite songs EVER, and i have no clue what they are!! that is the worst...

Dekay makes interesting music that is beyond just interesting.
Hes on of those gifted talents that makes solid dance tunes that are interesting to boot.
Move Yo is a great example of this, its a solid prog house tune that moves the crowd, yet he incorporates live percussion from norman soares for a nice added element. Its this attention to detail and more than 4 hour production that makes good timeless tunes.

I personally cant get enough of his original or remix work. Every track i have ever heard from him is warm, organic and very very moving, feet moving that is

I saw Matthew dekay when i visited the Holland. Set was awesome, then the best part was the Matthew Dekay band. Guitar, bass, bongo's + dekay on the decks. Freikin rocked. Hope to hear more of the band someday.
