Question Computer programming

anyone out there who knows anything aobut C programming?

Posted by Fundamental on Dec-01-2004 19:03:

Yeah...

Posted by Michael19 on Dec-01-2004 19:05:

i am using Borland and i need to put a menu instead another menu.

i used an if statement to do the first menu, but i am not sure how to put another menu inside that?

Posted by Fundamental on Dec-01-2004 19:07:

Oh right...

Posted by Fast Turtle on Dec-01-2004 19:08:

instead = inside?

Posted by Michael19 on Dec-01-2004 19:10:

yea, will change it now

hmm.. programmer here ..
here are two options that you can choose from :

1- there's like a tab or (->) left arrow button to shift the menu to the right side to create a submenu (that's what it is called .. a menu within a menu)

2-like Java, i think you create a Menu object in your coding.. create a main Menu object (the parent) .. then call one of the members (i think it should be Add) and add another Menu object within that parent Menu Object.

Why don't just make a switch within each option..

I don't think that C has the defigned types of "menus"

in Borland C there is .. whenever you are making GUIs and stuff..

i tried making a switch but didnt work, give it another go though, not really very good at this programming lark!

i didnt think there was defined menu types in borland either..

there should be .. i have Microsoft VS for C++ .. and they have Menu object data types available there .. so Borland (which i feel is better in implementing the C language) should have it .. try carousing around the Help options and they should help you.

The point is that VC++ had the tools.. Borland C as far as I know is pure C .. no C++ / MFC and stuff...
So that's why I think you need to simply program the darn thing.

yea, hes right. i do need to simply program the thing.

first i have to figure out how to program the thing though

People still use C??? wow, isn't it all now like obsolete with AOL being available? or Front Page? I saw this cool thing - like make your own program! You just drag some boxes around and drop like buttons and it makes a cool program!

I mean in the worst case scenario, why program when you can simply outsource to India? The colleges should be teaching realistic subjects like:

Indian English for Americans 101

Advanced Indian English for Americans 301

How to tell if your programmer is a real Indian and not some cheap-labor Paki 203

Outsourcing hi-tech jobs to India 102

and so on..

Why bother learning the language you won't get to use?

very true .. i have been now getting myself to aquire the taste for curry and indian tea .. i have been stopping by indian stores to get myself suited for indian garments .. i have been thinking about putting the stone on my forehead, but having second thoughts .. have been reading a lot about ghandi, mother theresa, ghandi, and the difference between india and new delhi (so i don't look like a n00b when i get there) .. hahahahahaha ...

but C is the root of all systems programming in my opinion .. you can do a lot of system manipulation, if you know how to do it correctly .. Windows is built on C.

Nah, I decided to get into something less competitive, like own my own gas station, donkin donuts or 7-11...

But the final frontier for Indians seems to be the job recruiting market. 90% of calls I get are from Indian recruiters... offering to pay Indian rates... for positions requiring me to relocate for up to 4 months to bumblefu(k, North Dakota.

You also need to perfect your Indian skillz by living in a 200SQ Feet 1 bedroom studio with 12 of your other Indian co-workers. Oh, and please, for realism, try not to shower more than 2-3 times a year.

hahahha ..

being diverse damnit .. to the shiznit ..
they can't take away all the networking administrator positions .. can they ?
