Scott Richardson vs Luke Sykes - C64

Hi all,

here is a new original melodic and uplifting track that I co produced with Luke Sykes. Would love to hear what you think:

whiterabbit.trancetribe.com/audio/pendulum/c64.mp3

Its all Reason 2.5, and I think we managed to get a really really solid sound from Reason. Ferry Corsten even has a copy of this as we gave him a copy while he was down under, and he said he is gonna email us some feedback! wOOt!!

Cheers

Scottie

Hey, thanks for that. Today I made some changes to the song, just added more of a supersaw to it, and a few extra effects. I'll upload and will let you knw when to download it again

Gday Scottie

Nice track m8. It's got a great vibe to it.

Nice Intro: no messen around.

2.25 nice break. the erratic beat works.

3:00 sounds sweet. Nice distorted noise....

3:35 - yerrr, bring it on. great vibe to this

4:20 I like how you use those pads & then bring the beat back in

5:10 rocks. 6:10. pinnacle. nice sounding pads. Im gonna have to see if i can find these in reason. what pads you using?

Simple tune but really effective. There is not much i can tell you to do with this; it is pretty much perfect how it is. Great work Scottie!!

hey hey

Thanks for the comments. Glad you like. We are just making some final adjustments to the distorted super saw sound that runs on the top of the bassline, gonna make it less frequent, then she is all done

[0:00] - fantastic sound from the word go. Mixing is *perfect*
[1:11] - great bassline; ferry style (?) really funky shit.
[3:17] - absolutely perfect!!! It's awesome when those pads kick in.
[4:12] - kick / bass dive --- you can do better dudes!!!

Great sounding track; the frequencies are all there and perfectly mixed. The melody is solid, but it doesn't quite have that hook. The production is absolutely superb. I'm listening with headphones and I think the bass could be a little bit more present ( just slightly ) Headphones are not the best way to judge a mix

However, having read on tranetribe that scottie actually makes his own subwoofers at home, I'm 100% sure that you're right about the bass, and I'm wrong.

All in all a great track, one I'd love to hear on the dancefloor!
