4 strings = cheese?!?!?!
hmm well i love a lot of 4 strings stuff (4 Strings - Into The Night, 4 Strings - Diving), although some of it seems TOO commercial for me, but regardless they have some good songs. anyways i was just wondering what u guys thought...are they cheessseee or not?
Check out songs by Carlos Resoort, the man behind 4 strings.
Overall, I think he has some really cheesy elements, but as far as commercialism in dance music, there are many who are much worse. He defininitly is on the cheese side of the line though...my line anyways
its a bit of cheese but on the otherhand most of his work is pretty good and theres plenty of DJ's who 4 Strings stuff.
Also the chick in the songs now she has talent I love her voice and she looks very hot aswell. Yeah there is a whole lot of ugly stuff out there
into the night is brilliant...i even dig the vocal version...dance my ass off for it.

The only thing I've really liked by him under the 4 Strings guise was Into the Night (NOT Take me Away). I do think most of his other stuff is a little on the cheesy/samey side.
4 strings cheese? sometimes.but tracks like...
4 strings - back to basics
4 strings - turn it around
...are just banging.i love them!

4 strings are slightly cheesy but i love the cosmic gate remix of diving its fucking banging!
daytime & into the night (and to a certain extent diving) was not cheese, it was after when carlo resoort thought, "hmmmmm, if i put vocals on this i can get more money, it doesn't matter that this semi-promising project could have been ok, i want my money" and then he dropped that first 4 strings album, and then afterwards he decided to destroy one of the best songs that he created in his lifetime by making a remake of it and then when he releases album #2, well, hmmm, carlo decided pretty well what he wanted to do with the 4 strings project. he wants to be dj sammy #2

Some of it are cheese, but 4 strings have made a couple of really good songs
I like:
Take me Away
Let it Rain
Diving
Turn it Around (club mix)
Daytime
Summer Sun (ibiza mix)
the minimalistix remix of Diving is nice, so is the 4 strings remix of B&J - Desire
I like Diving (someone said there's a version with vocals, but I like the one without, just so we're clear on that). Don't really like anything else by him.
Main Entry: 1cheese
Pronunciation: 'chEz
Function: noun
Usage: often attributive
Etymology: Middle English chese, from Old English cEse, from Latin caseus cheese
1 a : a food consisting of the coagulated, compressed, and usually ripened curd of milk separated from the whey b : an often cylindrical cake of this food
2 : something resembling cheese in shape or consistency
3 : trance music that is overly commercial, caters to the ignorant masses, and has no real body or emotion to it.

4 strings is not bad.......................without vocals.
Into the night = rocks. He put vocals on it = f*cksh*t
Diving (no vocal version) = not bad. He put vocals on it = f*cksh*t
Back to Basics (no vocals) = not bad . He put vocals on it = worse (are minimalist vocals, so not too overpowering)
Turn it around = not bad. I prefer the original.
His remix work is quite nice, Blank & Jones - Desire is a very very good remix.
4S - Diving[Original non vocal] and Blank & Jones - Desire[4 Strings remix] are my favs.
remover and revelation
they are fine

4 Strings rides that rare line between eurotrance cheese and quality. For this accomplishment alone Resoort is brilliant. He has created many memorable and outstanding tracks, while simultanously crossing over to the commercial eurotrance audience with the mere addition of cheesy vocals.
This thread really is an interesting litmus test. No, 4 Strings isn't cheese. It's cheese at will. And that takes talent.
