headphones

I'm looking to buy some headphones, looking specifically at the Sennheiser HD-202. Anyone have any experience with these? I'm not looking at them for DJing, mainly just personal listening.

Is there any other brands worth considering in this price range (<=$AU100, or <=$US70)?

Check out Sennheiser HD 497 $59.95 USD,

AKG K71 extremely low impedance, great frequency response range and only $56.00 USD

AKG K101 same as above with higher spl capacity and even greater frequency range response, only $66.00 USD

contact me directly for more info, [email protected]

ps.. yes we do ship world wide... www.djmart.com

Cheers...

You can pick up a pair of HD-280s for $99 bucks at most places. The 280s have incredible sound isolation and great frequency response. The best headphones on the market IMO, for DJing or just listening.

agreed, if your not already stretching your budget then try to strectch it a little farther and save up for 280s, they rock for just about every purpose(LAN gaming, spinning, casual listening, producing, etc)

I'm another HD280 advocate.. hehe.. I use the 280s as my primary headphones, they are awesome.

very tight bass response, clean in general, great isolation.. and amazingly comfortable after a few weeks of breakin. the perfect headphones for mixing dance music, IMHO.

I got them from agiprodj for $72. grrr8 value.

The hd 280's look horrible on your head. They may sound good, but there are loads of other cans that look good as well as sound as good and better than 280's.

looks mean nothing

not sure if the Sony MDR 7506's would be outta of your price range, but I just got them, and they fucking OWN.. best cans I have ever used..

Thanks for the recommendation, but the HD-280's are well out of my price range (the cheapest I can get them is $AU250). I don't need noise cancelling headphones nor noise reduction or whatever.

What is people's experience with the Sennheiser HD-497's?

whaaaatt?? i thought maybe the au dollar got weak, but finance.yahoo.com converted 250AUD to 195USD. the US dollar sure is getting weak, lol

They sell for $80 or so here in the states if you get a good deal, $100 is street price. is shipping to australia from the states that expensive?? never tried..

I went into a local hi-fi store to test out the hd497's today....interestingly, I could compare them to most of the sennheiser range. I dont like the flimsy design on the h497's, but I like the better bass response and studier headband on the hd515's. They sound alot better as well, although I couldn't tell with the treble response.
