Ian Van Dahl - "State of mind" woah!! (sample)
Ian Van Dahl - "State of mind"
When i first heard this song i was amazed at how un-cheesy it was compared to "Castles", it's still a way to go till it's not chessey but it is a good song.
OPINIONS.
ehhh, 5 out of 10, still cheese, but good enough to get remixed and sound good
I agree, it is way too cheesy. Maybe 5 out of 10 here too. Never liked Ian Van Dahl though
Yeah, it's cheese, and it's no different to the trance that you people claim is "underground".
Dimwits.

I dont think this is any different from their last release, or maybe, well a little better of course. Nothing to get all rocked up about at least
haha trust me im not exactly rocked up about it, just thought i'd give credit where.....i guess is deserved.
wow
this is really good
i would definately prefer a dub mix
i think ian van dahl was really looking into push as an influence here.. just by the percussion and the bassline synths
conicidence that its called "state of mind"
very nice though
i would love ot hear a dub version

| Originally posted by Ory I didn't call it underground either. I said that the trance that's usually talked about on these boards is just as crap as this, and not underground at all. |

Yeees?
this is co-produced by M.I.K.E.
so no wonder this is slightly better than the average Ian van Dahl cheesefest. it's still cheese, but it's fairly good cheese

Eh. I dunno. Am I the only one that finds it much less appealing than a 5/10? Maybe a 2 or a 3.

yeah it's like some of that good Wisconsin cheese... or wherever you europeans have good cheese at... probably Switzerland or something.
Wisconsin is... not in Europe.
The sample actually sounds good, but really slow? It sounds like the BPM is like fucking 53.
This track is less cheesy but no better melodically than their usual stuff. It definitely would be better as a dub - her voice blows.
While Ian Van Dahl is still cheese the whole album is quite good. Give it a listen.
I could have told it was MIKE just from the sample...
They're only doing what N*Sync did with BT, getting a credible producer in to make their tracks sound slightly less shit; it doesn't make them any more credible themselves.
i think its shite
nothing special at all, melody is boring, sounds are boring, nothing to make it stand out apart from those boring unoriginal vocals. its deffo an improvement but still poo IMO
the vocals are complete gash, the track itself is ok at best
The vocals are DA CHEEZE. As for the rest of the production, not bad but nothing outstanding either, not something I would listen to anyway.
