Ozgur Can-memory Lane E.p

Its time to get excited people. Ozgur can has came with a new e.p on electronic elements(its actually called o.c-memory lane). the first tune "not even winds" is a deep fantastic effort with the charasteristic driving basslines and a-la ozgur haunting abstract melodies(only much better this time) all these accompanied by a fantastic 80s newwave/darkwave male vocal. "illusions" is again a deep, melancholic and strongly hypnotin tune with a dark melody that flows and flows only to end up sticking in your mind. The final tune "questions" is another fantastic deep tune with a driving rhythm and layers of beautifull memories. Sorry if someone else has reviewed this before but i think this is not just another dance e.p but a fantastic electronic music e.p in general aimed for both dance and music(in general) enthusiasts alike and i think is great . The good thing about producers like ozgur, kosmas epsilon, petter, etc. is that they give us great electronic music without just aiming at producing just another 12" anthem like(unfortunately) the most of the trance that s coming out these days. Hope they keep it this way!!!9/10

Finally got the vinyl couple days ago. Ownz my ass everytime I play it. Especially, Not Even Winds.

Yup, tight EP, although Ozgr is starting to get a tad boring IMO, his tracks just always feature the same sounds and basses...

Anyway, if you liked this you might want to check out his Reclaim EP op Precint records as well! It has the allmighty 'Over nothing at all' on it, together with Reclaim and the rather tasty Morning Glory!

zgur got with no doubt the most boring and weak bassline I ever heard in EDM. and the damn turk knows that. I've complained for months and all he say is "i promise to make it better next time". But still its boring and weak
Eat less kebab and falafel and work the bass biatch!

Well, maybe boring for YOU. I think it is intuitive and very original. And Ozgur, I know you're TA and you post here, don't listen to him. Stick with your style, it kicks ass everytime.

Yes, his bassline is indeed weak although his bassline on Irony was quite alright. The rest of his tracks have weak basslines and maybe a harder kick would be in order. But, I guess thats just his style.

take it easy..he's simply stating his opinion...annnd...so aare you!

zze: I love your basslines. Even those "onelongnotechoruswobblearoundthebassdrum" lines. i wish i could make them fit the bassdrum so perfect on my own productions. don't listen to these haters only because they can't force their compressors to do such wonderful things like you and only get dirty shit.

LOL, no problem, Ozgur. Basslines in Not Even Winds and External Key are especially awesome. I can't believe people find them boring.

To each their own I guess.

My point: If you dont like a producer, go find some other producer who does make your kind of music. But dont try to make producers change their style.

I just recently heard Not Even Winds for the first time and absolutely love this track! I actually first heard this and couple other's by Ozgur on a couple of Jon O'Bir's cd's that he gave me. I definitely like what I hear and can't wait to hear more from him!
