Confused Flood

Last night I'm driving home and it started raining, and all of a sudden it started totally pissing, next thing I know (just as I come into the driveway of my house) the whole yard is just this huge river of water, garden furniture, buckets, even the trailer floating down the yard, you couldn't see any earth, just water, looked like we where in the middle of the ocean, I open my car door and water just starts coming into the car, so I get out close the door and the water is knee high, the whole place is flooded, everyone in the house is trying to block the water from getting in the house, the whole house inside is full of silt and water and shit...

Here I am soaking wet, grabbing a hammer, starting to break down a wall so water could drain faster. And upstream from the house is a newly ploughed and planted field, and all the topsoil and shit comes through the yard.

This morning we started cleaning, what a fucking mess, in the back yard is was an empty swimming pool, now its full to the brim with mud and silt and water, and the whole fence has collapsed.

and he's leaving the country for 2 1/2 months next year....fuckin dibs

as per the original post, i once had a water pipe leak and we ended up with about a foot of water in just our basement, and it still took ages and lotsa money to get cleaned up
best wishes to you and your family, hope nothing important is damaged and everyone's ok

This morning the foreman of the farm where on came with his tractor to open a ditch that was buried by all the mud, and the tractor just sank into the ground, the front wheels where totally submerged, they only just got it out now.

Luckily nothing important was damaged, exept for the field, half the newly sprouted grass (they grow teff grass for horse feed) has been washed away. luckily we got alot of people to come help clean up, so we should be done by tommoro.
