The regurgitated equipment thread, what should I buy

Yes, ive heard the technic thing over and over again.

but heres my situation, I dont wanna commit that much money to TTs right now. but this is what I have already

Mixer: Gemini PS-676(free)
fones: HD-280 pros
Vinyl: 4 vinyl I bought a while ago.

I can sorta mix, at least I could the last time I spun when I borrowed my friends TTs a 6 months ago for 4 months.

so I am looking at Numark 1650, or any TT thats between 180-200 on ebay.

thanks in advance

The 1650s aren't as bad as everyone will tell you. I'm surprised with mine, I thought going by what everyone had said that they would be useless, but yeah, don't mind mine at all, reckon they are pretty good for the money.

Budget - Stantan 500AL Mk2 They are the standard cart

Better - i use Ortofon Concorde Pro Silvers. I can thoroughly recommend them, no one will disagree that they are an excellent cart
There are also Shure Whitelabels. Haven't used them myself, but from what I hear they may be better than Concordes.

since im selling something else on ebay, probably 300 without carts but keeping some money aside to put towards carts.(hoping on getting some cash as well)

but theres also the fact that I want to get some new vinyl

Numark CC-1's awesome carts for $50

so $300 for 2 decks and 2 carts then? That is the best way to ask since then you wont be getting the people telling to you to buy every item in the spectrum. I cant help you as I have only had techs, but when I bought my techs uses, I think I paid $500 for 2 tech12's & 2 carts.
