Dido - sand in my shoes (above and beyond UV mix) still does it for as the first time i heard it. "I WANT TO SEE YOU AGAIN!!!!"

don't forget to vote for your OFFICIAL TA Track of 2004

IMHO it was a very dissapointing year for Trance. If I had to pick one I would go with Adam White and Andy Moor presents White Room - The White Room

Runner Up: Brian Eno - An Ending (Ascent) (Leama and Moor Remix)

Posted by D Dubya on Dec-09-2004 01:17:

well, i have posted it everywhere else, so why not here?

my pick for 2004 has got to go with:

DJ Sammy - Heaven

OR

DJ Sammy - Boys of Summer

I know Dave, Pete and DJake have my back on Boys of Summer. Matthias might too.

And you wonder how you earned the "jackass" nickname, Dirk.

My vote is Ace's Delight - Mental Theme (Ace's Hell On Earth Remix)

Sure...except Boys of Summer was released like in '02, which disqualifies it already.

As for me, I'm going with:
Way Out West - Killa

Followed closely by:
Starkid - Crayons (Leama & Moor's in Loving Memory of Starkid Mix)

Some of my favs. this year are :

Pake and Frederik - 45 Minutes (Medway Remix)
Chris Lake & Rowan Blades - Filth
Astro & Glyde - Chunky Humper (Medway Remix)
Petter - These Days
Infusion - Do To You (In '82)
Deep Dish - FlashDance (Meat Katie Vocal Remix)

and yeah theres plenty of others that were good this year, but i only recall listening to these tracks the most and that are on top of my head.

I believe Dirk speaks for all of us with those heartfelt, amazing tunes. Major props to Dirk for reading my mind.

Petter-These Days.

If both Sasha & James Holden mix it in, it's damn fine.

Petter-All Together--even better.

No One on Earth (G & D)

Jase from Out of Space-Do what you Want (Infusion's Sky Mix)

trance songs I liked in 2004

Super 8 - alba (when Ferry Corsten dropped this down @ the mbar, it was one of the best fucking moments in my clubbing history, I hope in another life I can re-live that moment)

Randy katana - in - silence (txitxarro mix)
Signum - coming around again, The time lord, first strike 2004 remix
Smith and pledger - forever (aspekt vocal mix)
Marcos - but for a day

I halfway agree with you, the last half of this year was REALLY good, but the first half I felt was really lacking too.

My Favorite Track of 2004

If I was at Privilege, Ibiza - the track that I would want to hear at 3AM is.... Nathan Fake - "Outhouse"
I don't know why I like it so much, but I cannot get tired of flying down the road with my top down with that track blaring.

Above and Beyond's "Sand in My Shoes" is legit as well. I had never heard the Dido song before, so the lyrics utterly blew me away the fist time I heard it.

Oh damn I had totally forgotten about that track...definite one of my favorites from this year. His Bored of House is a good one too

Jump The Next Train

Either way it's suicide
Cars drive through in real time
you choose the stars in blue and white
i love you till Im dead inside
plastic eyes look milky white
and the violence makes things hard to hide
Our pale faces sink in time
either way its suicide

Im gonna jump the next train
gonna jump on a plane
take a ticket to the other side
jump the next train (X2)

touch till hot times smack me up
and cigarettes taste good tonight
modern girl its time to go
either way ill let you know
we wake up to a polaroid
and the blank eyes stare at something new
little unit dont let go
all i really want is you

All of Holden's Balance 005 is killer for convertible driving.

I'm happy to be back in Texas today, where I can do exactly that.
