What Headphone do you all recommend?

Other then Senn HD280 Pro, Sony 7506/09, what other headphone do you all recommend for the production. I heard of Beyer but aint sure which headphone model is a better choice.

Any other model that you guys are using currently.

Im writing an article regarding headphone for production. So need all of u guys help and some tips.

Don't get Senn HD280s.. terrible bass response..

From what I can tell, Sony MDR-7506s have a very flat response.. other good ones are the AKG k501s

Any other recommendation.. Im using 280Pro. hahaha

The bass is rather poor. I wun deny it.

Comparison of AKG501s and Sony MDR-7506s. which would be a better choice.

i think alot of it is personal preference of what you like listing to, but personally i love the sony mdr-750's that i use. So in that case i would recommend those, but if you can try out a few different brands to see what fits you best and what you like the most.

I know You said that you would like to hear about other headphones than the sonys, but I thought I would add this.. I have both the sony mdr 7506 and 7509 headphones, and 7509 cost almost twice as much as the 7506, and what i can tell you from listening to them is that, I like the 7506 better, they sound more hifi, but when i mix on the 7509's they remind me of yamaha ns10's monitors except they have more base, but they seem really flat, which is good for mixing, at list for me. So when I do a mix on my monitors i listen thrue the 7509's to see if anything is berried or to low in the mix, than go to 7506, it sounds totaly diefferent, and better.. But what i am trying to say is that 7506's are cheaper but they sound more nicer to the ear, I only use 7509's to check the mix, to be honest they don't sound that good when playing anything thrue them.. but that's because they are not your hifi headphones but thease are specifically designed to sound flat and tell you what's going on in the mix.. make sure you choose the headphones by listening to diefferent models, That's what i did, and never buy cause somebody said they are good. You have to hear and see what you like for yourself.. I did some research about headphones and i just like the sound of sony's. I use to work for sony so i had a good deal on them, But when I went to a music store a salesman was trying to sell me the 7509's telling me how good they sound, and how much better they sound than the 7506 and all that stuff. I protended I was gonna buy them, but i only wanted to see how knowelegable the staff in the store was... Already had both pairs for a year... So just be careful, and like i said listen to everything, and then take home what you like, not what someone is telling you to.. cause at the end you have to be happy, and you're gonna be stuck with them, and i am sure you don't wana be stuck with something that dosn't sound rite to you...

Am using Philips SBC-HP820.

I think it's good for the price, (40 euros i believe) and i find the bass and highs really nice and clear.

Just bought 3 pair, 2 ATs and 1 AKG. I like the Audio Technica ATH-M30's the best for listening. The other 2 I use to keep me honest when mixing & mastering.

I have had sony's and I can tell you, the fact they make your ears hurt after wearing about two hours + the break-easily factor + the sound bad for your ears factor, the pioneer's (HDJ1000) I just switched to are like heaven when compared. Get the pioneers if you want the best.. these things put out pristine sound.

the K501's are very hard to drive, without a dedicated headphone amp the bass response will be definately lacking.

I use the K401s and I don't really like them for producing. They have an extreemly articulate sound, which is good for hearing all the small details in the sound, I just dont think the bass response is good at all. With the amp they sound reasonable though.

If you are looking into beyer, check out the DT770 and DT880. Bass is amazing in these, many studios use the 880s as monitor headphones.

Sennheiser's HD-200 Master are probably not the first ones you come to think of (that would rather be the HD-280's instead), but they've at least given me quite a good and flat soundscape. Some people say they have too much bass, but I don't agree. The bass is flat, but not too flat.

I have the AKG K240DF, supposed to be pretty flat. They work really well for production.
