Bren-F - Open Air (Sytek Remix)

Here's my remix of Bren-F latest master piece, 'Open Air' I love the original and thought the uplifting bouncey lead was perfect for hardcore. I also felt that the teasing piano should burst into a full piano line so I have written one for this remix. Hope you all enojy it and as always your opinions are most welcome...

Bren-F - Open Air (Sytek Remix)
Genre: Hardcore/Trance-core

hey raver
i remember the original, was happy song
now lets hear urs, thats a little too fast bpm
definatly rave stuff hehe
kind of hardcore happy
all ur missing is a scooter high pitch voice

ur kick could be stronger, the rest seems fine, overall it sounds kewl, not my style but people who like to rave will prolly like this hehe
hear u later

Ta for the comments Sunquest. Yeah I love the fast beats of hardcore, i'm a white trash raver

Dunno about the kick, I thought that was one of the stronger parts of the track! I wouldn't let Scooter anywhere near this track! Have you heard much modern hardcore? Listen to artists like Styles & Breeze and you'll see that the wonder of time-stretching has moved the genre past the days of chipmunk vocals, Scooter just doesn't know how to use it

thanks again

You already know what I think of this mate !

Great work, I do confess to having a soft spot for hardcore - takes me back to my teens

Love the piano aswell !

Glad you liked it

Thumbs up

quite liked it, very styles n breezey! the onedaysoon melody is awesome though. Good chords and pads!!!

I can't keep up its soo fast.

- breakdown at 1:30 is kind of odd in a track this fast. maybe add some swishing pads in the back, to keep up the pace
- the energy of the track is very strong. makes me happy
- the breakbeats at 3:35 are pretty nice, work better then the first breakdown. seems like you change the tempo or something...
- piano is cool sounding, but the song structure is quite repetitive...

To fast ya.

That crash is a bit weak imo.

to bad the bass is normal, Rave style indeed.

Mastering is good btw.

hmm breakdown, i kinda like it with that piano.

i wouldn't do the perc like that, shaker dominating and the hihat is a bit weak.

You know the melody sounds better in this version , seems the synth is really perfect here for it.

If you improve it a bit, the perc area and slow it down a bit, and make a radio edit. You can do very well in Holland, allot of people digg this sound in Holland (TMF listeners hehe not me )

DJ Carky B: Yeah Breeze & Styles have a big influence on my hardcore production. I'm considering a hardcore remix of One Day Soon, so watch this space!

eulerfx: Each to their own, I know hardcore is a bit much for most, glad you liked some elements of it though. Yeah on the second breakdown the melodies are still playing at 168bpm but the breakbeats are slowed down to 84bpm.

Massive84: Thanks for the tip, have you got any examples of this dutch style? I'll have a listen and see if I fancy doing a re-edit.

Thanks all for listening/commenting

Sorry it took me so long but I've finally gotten around to listening to your remix of 'Open Air'...I'm 1:15 into it and so far I'm loving it...and that actually says a lot coming from me, cuz hardcore is right behind house on my list of genres that I like...but this, so far, is cool as hell. Kinda started me right off the bat from the tempo but I quickly adjusted. Nice use of filters at the break around 2:00, seriously I really am diggin' this. Fast for my tastes, but diggin' it like it wasn't as fast ya know...there's this one sound in there that I couldn't point it out if I wanted to but I jammin' it. Ok...3:00...another break, nicely done. OH HELL YEAH! I love the break at 3:37 that's the fuckin' shizznit. HEAD BOBBIN' LIKE A MUTHA! Yeah man, great work on this piece. I could compare this to the few house tracks that I do like...just done so well and with so much skill and talent that it doesn't matter what genre it is. I dunno...kinda falls off a bit quick for me, i think the ending could've been stretched out a bit longer, but hey...thats just me, right.

Surprised...but...thanks
