800W of Computer Speaker Power!
Holy sh*t Batman! Santa came early. I just got in another set of Z-560 speakers and plugged them in with my other set. I have a Y splitter off of the audio on the computer to feed the two. Combined 800 F*cking Watts now with two 200W 10" subs and twelve 50W subs (4 came from another set). Life is good.

damn it .. now you got me thinking about new speakers ..
i am thinking of revamping at least two things on my computer ..
my suggestions are either a flat monitor, a new video card, a new fan for my computer, or maybe some new speakers..
they got some nice bose speakers on sale which i can connect to my receiver .. i can't believe my receiver is still working like the shiznit for 8 years .. and got it for a good price back then..

| Originally posted by smokeape Hey TrueSonic, add on to existing! Get a Y splitter off of the audio card and connect a second system. That's what homey did here. Now I can control balance between two 10" woofs instead of dealing with thump from one set location, which was my main reason for the second set. I can tell you now that I'm flight testing them that it makes one helluva difference. Try justdeals.com and no soliciting from my part involved here. [[[smoke]]] |

I have some decent computer speakers, but I don't see the point in investing large amounts of money in them. You're probably only going to be listening to mp3s anyway, and unless you're only getting 256+ rips, you probably aren't hearing much more than I am with my $45 speakers.
Now investing copious amounts of money in amp + speakers for the stereo, that's something I understand.
