http://www.theneworleanschannel.com...737/detail.html
this is some shitty news. A guy goes up on stage and shoots a bunch o people, and kills one of the greatest metal guitarist.
wtf, this blows ass.
any other pantera fans?
man, that's fucked up
it's like, who would do that?
sort of reminds me of phil heartman for some reason . .
just as messed
That sucks, I didn't like his playing but respected the guy.
Sad seeing someone die like this
wtf is this world coming to
RIP

words cannot describe what i feel abt this news. WTF. I mean c'mon... Dimebag was pure genius...
I live about 5 minutes away from that club, which has really taken a noise dive over the last 5 years. Cop sirens have been going wild all night, and when everything first started going down, 2 ghetto birds were up and cops were blocking off major roads. I think people were really worried about this guy going on a totally murderous rampage, and im sure thought of the Ohio sniper were fresh in their minds too...
It was really crazy. Plenty of sadness from me as well, I was just thinking about Pantera the other day...
why the fuck are guns still legal in the us

fuck! no way!
I was an avid pantera fan back in the days of my early/mid teens, I loved em, this is a shock
never was a pantera fan, but thats still fucking bullshit......
fuckin people
he's playin' for satan and only satan now.
Wow this sucks
Imagine what the people in the audience must be going through right now. They must be devastated! Probably will require counseling or something.
man, thats horrible news
EDIT - Also, even if you never liked Pantera or don't know who Dimebag was, it's a sad day in the music business because tragedies like this should NEVER fucking occur.
a tragedy happened and people can only focus on ONE person. more than just him died
this country is going to hell in a handbasket....
i mean its just getting worse and worse.....it really fucking is.

| Originally posted by Slylee yea my bf is a huge fan and he's devistated. he loves edm, but growing up, all he listened to was metallica and pantera and all those heavy metal bands. very sad. people are so f*cked these days. i mean seriously, get a damn life and step into reality. those crazed fans who live and breath music stars and cry and scream and hyperventalate at the sight of them... all those people need help in my opinion. |

it might have to do with the genre and crowd it brings. usually death metal is appealing to "outcasts" or punk kids who seem starved for attention and lost. and we all obvoiusly know how music can affect people....in good and bad ways. so maybe it's that. there are always exceptions though. my boyfriend loved heavy metal in high school and played guitar and drums, but he was a popular jock...so who knows.

I see the point, but cmon.
You can kill someone with nearly anything.
The difference is that guns are made solely for killing while knives, ropes, slabs of concrete, etc can serve other purposes. However, i dont feel like this is enouight ot outlaw a gun.
Additionally, the technology has been around for ages. If you outlaw it, not only do you lose money from companies making it, but the people who know how, or own the machines will go underground.
For me, its like drugs. Banning them will only work so much. The best scenario is proper education on ownership and use.
funny, i just bought this shirt online last week and got it in the mail yesterday
can't wait to wear it.
