Red face Mike Foyle pres. Luana - Hope (Echano's Quintessential Delusion Remix) 192kbps

What ho! I didn't see you come in. I've been sitting on this remix of Mike Foyle's 'Hope' for several months now but finally I am able to share it with you. If you haven't appreciated my run of more chilled productions during the second half of this year (and judging by my rapidly diminishing popularity, you haven't ), then perhaps you'll enjoy this as it's a return to something more trancey. Thanks for checking it out!

By the way, I fixed the 'offkey chords' in We Can Fly and you can download a final version here.

Listening....

Fantastic kick and percussion, very Kyau vs Albert sounding.

Nice little vocal sample.

Not too fond of the clap, i think theres a little too much midrange in there, not enough treble.

That bassline is

This intro is great, everything moves in nice and easy. So much anticipation for the breakdown.

I love that vocal sample during the break. This breakdown is amazing, nice piano, not too overpronounced. I had forgotten how much I liked this melody.

Synths sound really great. Nice breakbeat, though the kick might be a little louder during this section. Dunno, personal preference. Oh, there it goes, filters in. I personally would just start it out at normal volume but thats just me.

Everything comes back in very nicely, very bouncy track.

Overall, very impressive piece of work from you sir, you haven't lost it.

We Can Fly sounds amazing as well. Respect.

good stuff, lovely breakdown

i didn't understand the point of having so many tiny elements in the background though, you can barely hear them.

percussion is great, good kick

not too fond of the lead melody, but nothing you can do about that.

It keeps the track moving. Small details are one of the most important things in trance music IMO, at least for me and if you are good at it, then your a pro . (and i suck at it)

Oke, the Track Mart..

Indeed nice percussion and bass!.

However the intro can be shorter IMO.

breakdown is perfect, the piano is so lush! The choir seems to lack some Attack.

Oke the climax. Melody is great but i miss some string sequence or something, it sounds so empty after the awesome breakdown.

Further a great tack mate!

Incredible track, I love it through and through!

I think all of those subtleties really make this track.

edit- I also really like the vocal clips.

You still remain one of my favorite producers on here!

i agree, but some of the elements are too much in the background.

Dancing Dude

mmmm ur building melody in first 3 minutes, sounds like pure smith and pledger and kyau vs albert style (as mentioned above)
very anjuna hehe
overall, this sounds sooooo like a hit track from the year 2000 which is good imo, pure oldskewl my fav
no suggestions from my side, this is as good as it gets
thanx for sharing,
peace out

Everybody else has said it all. Everything flows smoothly into the next. It's beautiful man.

Ah quality download, and I haven't even started listening yet.

Ok here goes. Percs are nice indeed. Has that nice loop in it and that distincts it from the amateur productions. I think tho the buildup is a bit long. It takes a while before the bass kicks in and then another quite long intro-ish part comes in, tho you are still building so thats ok.

Break is lovely in combination with the piano and the low synths. Nice oldskool lead. Break beat there is stolen from "Random act of Noise Pollution" hehe. Then a synth comes in which is 90s as well but doesn't really grab me. Reminds me of Sakin and friends.

Productionwise my ears let me down if i want to fault this. Can't give you advise on making this better. Only thing i can say about the track is the lead melody after the break. But great track anyway. A keeper, deffo.

mart, you know that i love this one, just pure quality

Posted by sooper on Dec-09-2004 23:23:

really nice mart!

...though as more layers are added, the harder it is to hear the clap.

so much energy & momentum - fine work all around, great job on the breakdown.. its very thick & plush.

Looking forward to hearing more,
Trevor

damn nice one man....indeed a lovely breakdown...the breakbeat does sound like the one in Random Act of Noise Pollution but i love that song (one of my best of 2004 for sure) so its all good.....thx for sharing...

Nice. Very slow buildup. I like this a lot.

I agree that your percs are quite good.

I love the lead at around 5:00.

It's so easy to get lost in this song. I just realized that for the past two minutes I've been doing nothing but listening to the song, and I haven't even noticed the passage of time.

Overall, it's a very nice track. Good work.

Posted by RaverBabySy on Dec-10-2004 14:37:

Kick & Percs are good
Have to agree with SOM about the claps
Slightly longer intro than I would like, but that's just me
When Bass does finally come in it's excellent
Intro synths are great, teasing piano works well
Breakdown is ok to begin with but really takes off with some superb breaks as the lead builds
Doesn't have quite as much impact as it could when it all kicks off again

Another fantastic effort, top tune!

Oi, really nice. I'm too hammered for indepth review atm..

Posted by chris_spence on Dec-11-2004 14:18:

Thumbs up

Realling loving this at the moment! I agree with Jay M, that the buildup does take a bit long for the bass! But the bass is really nice! Really nice intro Synths also, top draw!!

Very Ronski Speed type stuff and very Anjuna as mentioned above! the breakdown is immense! just it lacks a little drive when it all kicks in again! try adding soemthing else in there im my opinion! But all in all, this is an excellent track which i shall be burning to CD Thanx for sharing.

Chris

Great remix there mate! Love the way it flows (maybe change the clap sound). Breakdown and climax are ace as well.

Only thing I should perhaps do, is shorten the intro a bit, let the bass come in earlier - now it takes about 1min30sec, which is a tad long I think. It makes the track a bit unnecessary long.

I love it... Me wants more!

Cheers,
Wim

Thanks for your comments, guys! As usual they are very much appreciated. I agree that the intro and the outro are excessively lengthy, and yes there is a lack of power following the breakdown (something of a recurring theme through my trancier productions). Thanks again for listening and I'll try and give you more trance in the new year.

Melody is immense mate. Remember hearing the original a few months back. Quality production this. Familiar to the 'breathing' mix of Airwave by R1 with the vocals. Very whispy an mellow... definately sends the track down a more melodic route.

10 all the way.

We still love you Mart, don't worry!

This is a fantastic remix! Your productions have been so tight recently that it's getting difficult to pick out something to critisise in the track, and once again I'm stuck. I even like the lengthy intro, and the percs and bass are fantastic.

Thanks for sharing!

Yep another nice job Mr Echano

Posted by Anaconda on Dec-13-2004 09:00:

hey...mate

very nice kick and percussion. Simmilar to A&B

nice deep and powerful bass

like this gated melody

holy perfect breakdown

like the synth which is playing the main melody

in overall excellent work!

Good Luck with this stuff!
