TA's + Drum n Bass

Just curious, how many of you TA's listen to some Drum and Bass?

Posted by idoru on Dec-10-2004 00:20:

I do, occasionally. Most of the time it's Atmospheric DnB, and sometimes I'll drift over to the harder DnB, ie Dieselboy.

Posted by beats and beeps on Dec-10-2004 00:21:

I do, but its a very overrated genre imo.

Posted by sensationxtc on Dec-10-2004 00:22:

fuck i love dieselboy lol
while driving to the hill to snowboard i had his new CD dungeon master or whatever its called pumping with my subs and shit and i was in heaven lol

Posted by Floorfiller on Dec-10-2004 00:23:

Didnt Christian Vogel just release an album called "dungeon master"?

I listen to DnB quite a bit actually, AK1200 particularly.

Posted by itsTrueSonic on Dec-10-2004 01:25:

yeah .. stuff like db, dara, ak1200 .. the popular stuff .. i don't really get too deep into drum n bass into the underground stuff .. dieselboy is pretty good .. can i say dj rap also ?? well she is more breakbeat than dnb anyways ..

Posted by D-res on Dec-10-2004 01:29:

yeah i do once in awhile..

LTJ Bukem is what i listen to usually...

Posted by Eddie N MIAMI on Dec-10-2004 01:38:

I listen to it once or twice a week in my car.One of the local colleges here have a radio show that has a DnB show.

Posted by TwoPlow on Dec-10-2004 01:55:

I like a fair portion of it quite a bit, and the rest not so much. I like the more creative artists, but the formulatic chopped amen + sweeping bass lead is almost always pretty lame.

Posted by Pete K on Dec-10-2004 01:59:

I love it, especially anything neurofunk.

Posted by sektile on Dec-10-2004 02:33:

i love it... dark, techy, neurofunk biz - listen to sooooo much of it :l

Posted by krivi on Dec-10-2004 02:40:

i really like some ambient dnb tracks i would reccomend to everybody just to hear some of those nice tracks:

art of noise - something always happens
flap - beautiful
deep strucure - lunar

and so on...

Small drum n' bass shows are really fun to go to.

Posted by TweeK on Dec-10-2004 03:05:

Posted by Pointy on Dec-10-2004 03:11:

che

Everything but the Girl - Single (Photek remix) from your sig
SOOO GOOOD lol

Posted by starglider on Dec-10-2004 05:22:

I like a fair few dnb tracks, but I've never got into it enough to go searching out tracks - I basically listen to it when it comes my way. I second the vote for High Contrast, though. Return of Forever is a quality tune.

And a classic tune worth checking out is:

London Elektricity - Song in the Key of Knife

Jazzy, orchestral, anthemic, it covers a lot of ground in its 11-and-a-half minutes. My kind of dnb.

I just had all my CDs stolen, and while flying home I stopped at an airport music store, and bought Dieselboys "Dungeonmaster Guide" over state of trance 2004... got to listen to some of both and thought Dieselboys was more interesting.
Not too much new and interesting trance finding me these days.

I hung around a DnB Dj Skeletor, in N. FL and really dug the small DnB shows, thats what got me started in that genre.

Anybody know any good tranceNbass? I heard this remix of Tiestos Flight 643 (Paul B + Subwave remix) on dungeonmasters guide that I totally dug, and a the Ill Skilz remix of Dumonde's Human. Thats some of the only decent new tracks ive come across lately. (ahem, and they're remixes)

Any recommendations in that genre? I have listened to a few of those mixed CDs called "Atmospheric Drum 'n' Bass" in the past, a I remember to have liked them (for providing a decent change to the usual stuff), but I do not have that much of knowledge regarding this genre.

I listen to Andy C and other DJs every now and then.

I like these two tunes right now:
(1) Pendulum - Spiral
(2) Orion - Time Stands Still

Spiral more than the latter. Good stuff.
