Finals rant

At 3 AM on Saturday morning I'm only about 1/3rd through a paper which is due at 3:30 tomorrow afternoon, then I have a review for another final I have to get at least 85 percent on (Thursday at 1:30) then I have to study for a (my hardest) final which I need to get 80 percent on; which is Monday at 1:30

Meanwhile, RoboCop is on Cinemax and I know I'm going to finish that then probably watch the Last Samurai or some other long flick; all the while doing no work on this paper or studying for my finals.

Feel free all you stressed out college students to post you finals rants here.

OK, here's my exam week.
Monday: computer programming 11-1
Tuesday: calculus 1. 8-10 (need atleast a 50/150 to get a C in the course.. hehe.. need a C or better for my major (comp. sci.))
Wednesday: Nothing. (Party)
Thursday: Nothing (Party Harder)
Friday: Hand in research paper. 5 pages atleast. Make a 5 minute speech that requires no preperation about the paper. Hand in exam for american government. then go home for break :P

I'm sorry to be an ass , but if you actually worked hard during the semester you wouldn't need to get 80% on the finals to have a good mark ... at least at my college.

hell I didnt even have to write any of my 4 finals and still pass with a C ..

so work hard during the year, and the finals will be easy .

i have 7 high school finals for three days this week. but im sure one high school class final couldnt really compare to a college one.

Have a Calculus 1 final on monday @ 2PM. Dont even need to pass it and ill pass Cal 1, but might as well get some work done.

@drinkyourmilk: Comp Sci has cal? Hmmm...

im in high school, and I am stressed out to the max, fucking AP classes. I have no idea what I am gonna do in college if its like this in high school.

i took 18 credit hours so i had 6 exams but i've been done thursday and its the best feeling ever!!!! sucks for all you guys that still have more to go!!! hahaha

First of all, since when is a C a good mark? Secondly, what kind of school do you go to? How much are your finals typically worth? My finals are often worth 60-80% or more, so you need a good mark on them if you want to do well in the course.

Although, working hard throughout the semester is a good way to do well in school, for sure...

yea, i think it's required to take a few higher up maths at my school for compsci. i could have taken pre calc but everyone said "ohhh i think you'll do just fine in calc, even though you failed the damn placement test!" pfff.. fuck them.. i'll use logic and listen to myself next time

look man, if it makes you feel any better I am not an overachiever by any means.. I just have to work hard in school to be eligible to play basketball for my team , becasue I'm on a scholarship and have to maintain a good GPA.

I have nothing against slackers, if you can pass a class without studying, good for you. but you get used to half assed results your whole life and it bites you in the ass later. I'm not taking university/college , but in life.

One thing people have to learn is to try their bests at everything they do, being school , sports, family relations , it doesn't really matter, if you start something just finish it, especially when some of you pay big money for school, or run in huge debts after they graduate..

I think I sound as a bitch to some of you, but its true, and I hope you realize it some time or another, because life is not only about music parties and girls ..

I dont know , its only my opinion..

haha, glad you noticed , but I cant really blame it on WoW becuase, if it wasnt that, then it would be something else. but in reality I havent played that much, most of the people on my friends list who I used to party with are now 8 lvls above me, I dont play enough it seems like.

I was studying Thursday night in the lounge, and a group of people came up drunk and starting having their own goodtime in the lounge. They were done with theirs from previous days. Made me want to get sloshed.
