Shame / Disagreement Worst Dj's/Sets Ever

i wanna hear some horror stories

Posted by TheKidsWantTechno on Dec-12-2004 21:45:

hmmm, well, it was at the Love From Above this july in Berlin... PvD start the night off strong, spins a really solid set for maybe 3 hours... the crowd is completely wild at this point, and who comes on but Tiesto... now, i was excited, because at this point in my life, i was a COMPLETE tiesto man whore haha, so i was pumped... but man, things sure do change!!! because after about 1 1/2 hours of absolute crap, i was convinced that tiesto was not the dj he used to be... track after track were simply his OWN productions or remixes, the mixing was absolutely horrible, but here's the part of the night that summed up everything for me - the crowd was TOTALLY not feeling this set, but i guess because he's so full of himself, while playing his mix of adagio for strings, he stood up on the table the turntables were on, gave a god pose, started jumping up and down, and then the vinyl started skipping... i've never been so disapointed in my life haha put me in a really shitty mood, but then nu-nrg came on, and then pvd came back on to spin for 5 more hours, so i was happy

now, i'm willing to forgive and forget, but tijs, youre gonna hafta come up with something better next time!!

hahaha good one gaving, greg and i have had quite a few disappointments when weve seen tiesto... ive decided not to ever go on a road trip to see him again... sorry you tiesto whores... please dont rip me a new one...

every time ive seen sandra collins she was horribe! (space WMC04, and HOB 11/04) the only reason i saw her a second time was b/c it was my last night to party with brent before he goes to iraq....

oakenfold choked it at ultra this year too...

ahhhh, don't remind us!!!! when they cut tiesto off (who actually was spinning some decent stuff), and then oakenfold and PDIDDY came out, i knew it was over!!! haha

my only time seeing oakenfold, and it only lasted for about 15 minutes before i was able to escape the huge crowd, and make it over to marco v

Agreed on ALL points.

I'll never see....THAT man again, Sandra just suckx PERIOD, and I also was there for Oakenjoke's set at ULTRA. I was sitting there, just doing this the whole time:

liquid tod was the worst dj iv seen.. and he wasnt htat bad... i guess iv been lucky!

Posted by FallingMoon on Dec-12-2004 22:47:

Dunno

ok I am going to get hated on and flammed on for this and I apologize....

but mine was Ferry @ Space 11.8.04 (I think it was that date) omg his set was too fucking mellow, no energy, hype or anything...I liked only one track and that was Jump the Next Train and I ended up leaving like at 3:00 AM the earliest I've left a Space event...I usually leave around 8. I was so disappointed and it was teh suck. I was sitting down the entire time.

Sandra does blow, and as mentioned before i've been there for that shitty oakie ultra set.

Also if u wanna hear garbage listen to my sets :[

The date of that Ferry event was 11/12.

And the rest of your post made me

You should have been there for Orlando, 10/13 @ ICON.

THEN I'm sure you wouldn't have any complaints.

Posted by ClubGoddess on Dec-12-2004 22:58:

WOW, now that surprises me that you did not like Ferry's set, that was on Nov 12 by the way His set was full of energy and hype. Oh well.

I have not been to as many shows as you guys. But the one I didnt enjoy was the same that Cynthia mentioned, Sandra at House of Blues in Orlando on Nov 21. She is horrible. Some say she is great, has a great song selection. This may be true, but that night, she was horrible. She has very little crowd interaction, she did not seem to be enjoying herself. I went because I also wanted to see Brent before he left town. I had a good time that night because I was with friends.

I like Ferry, I do. But as my first time seeing him live it was not all I expected...I thought it would have been better...Sorry. I know like everyone here loves Ferry but that night was a downer.

To quote Damon, I think maybe Sandra is just better at giving head than spinning.

i can fully understand where you're coming from... i saw him here in atlanta in november, and i was very dissapointed - little energy, boring tracks... usually love him, but he just wasnt doing it that night

ill still see him next time he rolls through town, though

maybe ferry and tiesto were just having a bad night(s). from what ive heard they jammed it at icon and tiesto at amp just recently.

Posted by FallingMoon on Dec-12-2004 23:06:

I'm sorry I just NEED hype, energy...PvD...I'm such a PvD whore...hmmm and ARMIN!

Maybe if Ferry comes again I would go check him out and see what he'll have in store because I do believe he is a great DJ.

just because someone likes prog it does not mean they do not like trance... as ive discovered from quite a few ppl many ppl start liking prog after having listened to trance for a LOOONG time...

so dont be a hater DA....

With Ferry I've never heard of such a thing.

WAIT WAIT...I got a perfect one which won't disappoint anyone and I'm sure people would agree with me when I say

GEORGE CHEESECOSTA @ the 4th of July bash...his lip singing which was hilarious because he didn't even know the words...

I DIED, I DIED and a bad kind of died.

omg...and Jon Secada in the performance...

EDM sunk to a LOW that set.
