Songs that tell a story without saying a word.
William Orbit - Barber's Adagio For Strings (Ferry Corsten Remix).
If you are feeling especially creative feel free to give your interpretation....
I think songs that remind you of things are more likely to be story tunes.
I totally agree with WO, my fav song eva, other songs i think are:
Solar Stone - "Solarcoaster"
Solar Stone - "Seven Cities"
Body-Shock - "Rain in the city"
Rank 1 feat. Shanokee - "Such is life" (Without the vocals it's very meaningful aka Many miles too soon)
there are a lot of others that tell a story, these are off the top of my head.
Pat Foosheen -The Unthinkable (Habershams & Mah Sivee Mix)
Ulrich Schnauss - Nobody's Home
Derek Howell - We're Gonna Be Okay
Instrumental storytellers on my mind right now:
Solid Globe "Sahara"
Mono "Rise"
Accadia "Into The Dawn"
Veracocha "Carte Blanche"
Snagglepulse "Cartoon World"
Gouryella "Ligaya" (Ferry Corsten remix)
Kay Cee "Escape"
Ozone - Rock
Kid Vicious - Proceed
wait a minute...i thought a dj is supposed to tell you a story

Capetown - Pitstop
I believe I read somewhere that this tracj tells the story of going to a club, getting drunk, and coming home and watching tv or something like that.
Amygdala : Proprioception Malfunction
it will give you the happyist hallucinations
airwave - venus of my dreams
planisphere - ozone
arksun - astrodancer (starecase remix)
arksun - one day
james holden - horizons (way out west remix)
aural imbalance - aural navigations (part 2)
david parsons - above clouds
capetown - chameleon
All Planisphere tunes.
seven cities comes in mind, but its just one of them, also i think once youve had an experience connected to a certain tune its easier to see the story within.

I really can't think of a really specific answer for this. That's not to say that I don't have visions of what the tune is conveying, but I've never really thought of some coherent story. All good trance is evocative to me - it's about me, my feeling - not somebody else's. This is probably exactly what I love about trance - it's absolutely open to interperetation. It's not about 'telling a story' which means it's not about getting on a microphone and whining about your relationship issues. It's all about pure feeling - I feel as though a main point of Trance is the dissolution of thought - all that remains is an amorphous interperetation, different from all people, yet alienating none with sticky concepts such as plotline.
Leave your story-telling to the folk-singers!
