a small question

say I want to make a phone call to the US from outside of Canada, but I want the caller ID (of the person called) to show a Canadian #.
Is it possible to buy one of those prepaid Canadian cards and use it from over seas inorder to show a Canadian prefix?

thanks in advance

ps: it's not for scamming purposes, I swear

Depends on the card.

I generally use a beige-box (lineman's handset) and someone elses house to do my illicit telephonique!

Sorry, no such luck on specific cards.

I suspect that if you used the Bell 0H-CANADA operator-assist (800-555-1111) international service via a toll free (or better yet, dial 0 and ask the local operator to connect you) the chances of your CID information be passed through are less (and less with each hop).
