VIVA and PULSE

I don't know whats going on these days but it seems as if VIVA is playing more house now with Lil Bad Ass being one of the residents and PULSE going in a more trancier direction with Goldfinger going to PULSE. For some unexplained reason Lil Bad Ass sems to play harder stuff at PULSE then he plays at VIVA

how is pulse? i have never been there, how is the club itself and what nights do they play edm and is there a big crowd and what type of crowd is it?

PULSE is particularly good on a Sunday night and is open until 7am with house and now more trance then usual There are 2 floors and the top floor is the one to be at since it is always rammed.PULSE feautures my favorite DJ in the whole wide world Lil Bad Ass who plays at COMFORT ZONE on Thursdays and VIVA on Fridays and has played at SYSTEM and other clubs before as well

I've been to both clubs & each one has its own traits/quirks that I really like...VIVA is like a smaller version of the Guv for lighting & soundsystem but not as rammed.My friend Chris will be spinning @ Pulse on Sat Dec. 18th "Save the Rave" & I will maybe go to that (Christopher Lawrence is @ the Guv & I may go to that as well....what to do???)...

don't worry viva is not turning house.just mixing in some house and progreessive sets to give our loyal 3yrs fans more variaties .. just like Mark Oliver will do the same at both Guv and Viva (and LBA playing here every other week). the laser and the big sound there is still built for those great trance event like Dec31 NYE -- TALLA 2XLC party.

Mark Oliver is still the god there every friday. never question how hard he plays right?? If you like hard stuff then you should like the return of dj dragon fly (once a month)and young resident dj key.

VIVA should stick with what brought them to the dance and that would be trance,trance and some more trance Bring in more guys like DJ Scot Project,Cor Fijneman,Lab 4 and Eddie Halliwell although I am pleased with Talla 2XLC coming in for New Years but still looking for some more good hard playing internationals to come through VIVA more often.

Playing house past 1am is not cool VIVA

Here here! By going to House they're competing in a huge market and it'll probably bite them in the ass in the long run. At least Trance is in need of a couple of small clubs playing it regularly. A good niche to stick to!

The bottom line is that VIVA had a stronger surrounding cast around Mark Oliver about a year ago and I never heard no house and heard mostly trance which I loved.Why not bring in DJ Hardflow or someone like that?

I at least want to see some internationals come through who can at least out play the resident DJ who is Mark Oliver or at least be able to play on the same level as Mark instead of Mark outplaying most of the internationals. What I'm basically saying is that it would be nice to see Marco V,Talla 2XLC,Nu NRG and more of those types of upper tier DJ's play at VIVA more often.Seeing Lab 4,Scot Project and Eddie Halliwell type of DJ's come through would be good and kinda neat to see especially on that killer system with the lasers and all.

I still love VIVA and VIVA is still one of my favourite clubs otherwise I wouldn't go there but I expect more because I know what VIVA is capable of. Sure VIVA can still lay claim to being one of the best trance clubs around but playing ANY house past 1am is not VIVAish even if it is every other week especially when you are one of the only trance clubs around and people expect to hear lots of trance and for VIVA to be a premier TRANCE club

Is VIVA still great? The answer is yes but can VIVA be even greater? That answer is also yes Hopefully DJ's Key and Dragon will play some really hard stuff and clench my thirst for some harder music

I wish I was able to go to Save the Rave and I've never been to Pulse, but have previous plans. If you go could you let me know how it was?

No Yoji Biomehanika isn't coming to VIVA with me tonight although it would be pretty cool to bring Yoji to VIVA Me and Yoji rolling up to VIVA would make some heads turn for sure

i think he's not been to canada or n.america at all. thats why i asked you what if yoji is SPINNING at viva. actually we're trying hard to do just that.
