Ideas needed for fancy dress (Urgent!!!)

Ok, so at work, there is a fancy dress day on sat, when i'm working. And i was told about this, this morning, so now i have about 36 hours to sort out some sort of fancy dress theme. Original and innovative ideas stand a chance of winning 1000 pounds!!!

Anyway here are the conditions:

1) Must be cheap (I'm poor)
2) Must be able to be utilised quickly (i've only got a day to do it, and i'm quite busy tomorrow)
3) Must be original and innovative

my friend thought "pyjamas" and i thought "no, i sleep in my underwear"

We thought about school uniform but thats a bit easy and unoriginal

Last year i went as a xmas cyberkid, and i won, so i dunno if i'd do that again. takes too much time i think.

So UKTA's lend me your ears!!!!!!

how about some half and half theme split down the middle? might require some skill and cutting up of clothing unless a load of safety pins were put into use .. but you could have like good and evil santa or say devil and elf ?? more ideas later perhaps ..

go dressed as the cat i nthe hat, harriet did not so long ago and alll she did was make the big hat + bow tie from card and a tail from tights. you could obviously go further and wear his clothes i suppose.
