Ravens at Colts

allright so this is the NFL game of the week, I thought maybe we can discuss this big game plus anything going on this week in the NFL.Ill post more game of the weeks till playoff time.
theres are to many stupid "your sport sucks" threads (that should be closed by the way) goin around and I think we need to focus on whats really important.

As for the game the Colts vs Ravens, Manning vs the Ravens D Manning may have a tough time breaking the record sunday night with a guy like Ed Reed and the rest of those DBs,and with Ray Lewis who always disrupts.Kyle Boller has been getting better lately so I predict the game might be close but the Colts will still edge out the Ravens 21-17
And another game worth noting is the Falcons Vs Panthers, the Panthers are the hottest team in the NFC lately and the Falcons(with the eagles)are the leading contenders in the NFC.Falcons win by a field goal 24- 21

im going with the colts (obviously). only another month or so until the playoffs. woot!

Tough game indeed, I'm going to have to agree with Dmatrox on this one.. I think Peyton is definitely going to get the job done against the ravens defense.

if they were playing in Baltimore, B-more would have its two teams back

with rayray pressuring peyton and ed reed/chris mccalister covering the passes, colts will rely on edgerrin who is going to do well but not well enough to beat the ravens. ravens 17-14

well, kinda off topic, but i thought Eli Manning did a pretty good job today against the steelers. at the end it was 33-30, but damn i was really hoping the giants would beat the steelers. i hope the kid gets better, espeically considering he was a 1st round draft pick

nah its not off topic , like i said in the 1st post we can discuss everything from this week as well.
This was the first game Eli actually showed why he was a 1st pick.He finally showed some poise,Tiki had a hell of a game as well. The Steelers look tired on defence,on offence without staley and burress and Ben still had a good game, that bye week before the playoffs start for them will help alot.
I really had no high expaectations for Eli this year. This game will help his confidence though.

i was happy the way eli performed. i thought both RBs did well in the game, but Barber better. It seems like the offense coordinator asked eli to tell him which plays he felt comfortable to execute. maybe there needs to be more of this communication bw the offensive coach and eli 'cause it seems to be working.

i was pretty surprised by this game, especially since the giants came close to a tied game and i definately helped the team confidence.

its too bad the dolphins are doing bad this year, especially without Williams, i'll see what he has to say about leaving the nfl on 60 minutes

yea I want to see what that asshole says as well.He didnt completely ruin my team but he was a major part of it.I already heard part of it and that he dosnt want to apologize to the dolphins because he feels he dosnt need to.
Yea I heard about the simplifying of the offence for Eli, at first I was like haha he's slow but when your a rookie its probably a good idea not to put to emphasis on alot of plays i guess.

GREAT GAME last night and the Falcons won by a field goal just like I predicted haha.Panthers are in a pickle now, The Rams play a winnable game vs the Cardinals today.

great game bw the Ravens and Colts I wish they would have let Manning go for the TD at the end after the interception, i mean come on the fans wanted it so bad

great game, score came out somewhat like I thought it would. That play that kept the game alive for the ravens when the ball was tipped and lewis managed to get it and he rumbled over people to get the 1st down, that was so nice . Colts defence has improved alot.

lol I understand what your sayin about letting Peyton tie the record(I mean its like even the refs were like ah what the hell lets say this guy was out of bounds at the 3 so he can have a shot)But Peyton and Tony Dungy showed alot of class by kneeling down instead. That was pretty stupid that some fans booed even after a hard fought victory, you cant force history, it just comes, theres still 2 more games.Peyton earned the respect of the Ravens D as well by not running up the score at the end.Big game vs Chargers next week for the Colts.Week 16 thread coming soon........

a good game .. people may flame me, but i agree with tony dungy's philosophy and just take the knee .. screw the history books, because it can wait another week ..

a good game .. a what a shock with that blunt kick matt stover kicked that in the stat books, it will be considered a block, but everyone who watched that game knows that kick could have been blocked by a cripple ..

but what a week this was .. the carolina-atlanta game .. peppers catching that ball in the air and running for the td .. vick getting crunched before that play .. he got crunched! .. then vick saves the game once again for the falcons ..

the chiefs and "diaper dude" larry johnson run all over the broncos .. like i said .. the broncos choke at the end and will miss the playoffs once again .. billy volek and the titans .. what a game he had ..

but best of all .. hometown saints somehow find another way to beat the bucs .. hhahahahah ... the saints are so enigmatic .. but with the vikings winning, packers, seahawks, rams, panthers, bucs, and cowboys losing .. the saints still have a shot at the playoffs .. beat the panthers and falcons and they have a good shot .. oh boy this is going to be tight ..

Colts still need to work on the defense, especially against the run If it weren't for the Raven penalties, it would have been a very close game.

Well today's MNF and NE for sure

u are right

what a game. amazing effort by the dolphins and they still show good spirt for a 2-10 team. although their playoff hopes were shot early in the season, winning against NE 29-28 is such a HUGE win, especially against the Pats. it was all brady's fault trying to complete a pass at the end. he didnt even look, he just threw it up, man what a bad mistake that cost his team the game.

itsTrueSonic YOU DA MOTHERFUCKN MAN!!! YOU CALLED IT! HOLY SHIT

wow I cant believe we beat the Pats ,down 28-17 late we win 29-28, what a game. Beating the Pats is always sweet, now we fucked up their homefield advantage and now they gotta play the Jets next week just to try to keep the bye week in the playoffs.Dolphins are a seriously depleted team and we pulled it out.HEART

Posted by itsTrueSonic on Dec-21-2004 14:50:

hhahaha ... what a game
i wasn't screwing around when i made that prediction. i knew the dolphins had something left inside them, and of course the pats are a division foe, so the fins should know them like the back of their hand.

but now we have seen tom brady make mistakes. .. this is the second week in a row he made a bonehead mistake that cost his team the victory. now they possibly have to go to new york to play a fired up jets team, after that lashing chad pennington did to the NY media .. that was his way to fire up the team against new england. forget the first round bye for new england. wild card game for them dude ..

Posted by Omegasox on Dec-21-2004 16:08:

That was a great game, but now Pittsburgh will get home field, and I really don't like Pittsburgh. What a letdown for the Pats.
