Review: Christopher Lawrence & Mark Oliver
Almost didn't make it out to this, and it was about to be the 1st time I was gonna miss an appearance by C.Lawrence. Luckily, that wasn't the case. Got there nice & early with Graham & Cuzo. MO threw Graham & I a shoutout during a Scumfrog mix of a Slacker tune,"Best Boyfriend", which started off the night with a good laugh.
Christopher went on at 1:30, and delivered an excellent set! I know several TA's who'd never seen him had mixed opinions- some loved it, others weren't into it that much (probably not used to his unique style, far from the norm of vocals and anthems)- but that's why I like him so much. No complaints here!
Bo & Dom (Filo & Peri) also showed up, just after RJ & Ray left to Boa.
Afterwards, Mark dove right into things, and we joined him in the booth til I could stay awake no more. Graham got the 'highlight of his life' when Mark let him toot the big horn.

I was dissapointed I had to miss this one... Chris Lawrence is one of my favorite djs for sure!
quite a number of TA's there. from what i can remember, dmnr, carney, pettiscool, samhouse, tully, walking dude, rabbit joker, gamma, cuzo, tatgirl, irish graham, drgoodvibe, E2EK1EL, now who am i forgetting?? oh well i tried. only sucky thing was the guv crowd.
and i wasnt feeling 100%
mark oliver opening: as always a good job, mark played some sick techno before chris came on
christopher lawrence: i got my ass kicked by this dude, hard hard hard fuckin beats, it was amazing to hear a hear a set like that in the guv. i know somepeople didnt like it as much but i say job well done to christopher lawrence.
mark oliver closing: dude never dissapoints, thank you to mark for playing paul van dyk - for an angel(never heard that in a club before), great closing set, i was almost sure he was gonna play communication since he didnt during his classics set last week.
now its time for me to rest. see you guys next year

OMG! Ok, this pic is from Fri nite at System, and ignoring the fact that its Party Princess in this pic, the guy she's pictured with was THE BIGGEST MORON at the Guv last night!!! I was so trying to get this guy thrown out, LOL! Total muthafukin cheeseball who couldn't keep his shirt on, and must've attempted to pick up 8 chicks within 2 hrs. Why those girls even stopped to amuse him for one minute is beyond me! Even after they tried to get away, he was still chasing after them. Like, get a clue loser! Dude had way too small pants, and his crack was showing to make it worse.
this was one crazy night for me!
ive been listening to trance for like 2 years now and i never heard of this christopher lawrence guy, so i had no idea wut to expect. but i can tell u for sure he didnt disappoint me. his set was just pure energy and hard and pumping all the way! u just couldnt stop dancing! i had no idea wut tracks he played tho, there was like only 1 i could recognize. i think that really seperates him from most djs. most play tracks u've heard of,but this guy is unique cuz he'll deliver a good set and its something u never heard of before. like last week on gdjb 4 djs spun including chris. there was a tracklist made for every dj. chris' was all ID ID ID ID. no one knos wut he plays! heh. its good tho. nice to hear something different AND awesome at the same time.
it was nice meeting the TAs. great partying with u guys!
cool to see filo and peri there too! i kno they had a gig at viva the other night but couldnt make it. peri tells me they got offered a monthly residence at viva which is cool so ill def head down there some time to see them.

Im really sorry i had to miss this party.... ALso was talking to all my friends that went... man, they had so many insane stories to tell about shit that happened! FUck, wish i couldve experienced it too...

OHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH SHIT!!!! WAT aN AMAZING NITE!!!! The frist few hours, like from 11 to 4 weren't really all that coz I don't like hard beats too much.... I lost it of course when Christopher Lawrence dropped Intruder and before that when he played some mix of Valentine & Certer - What's That Track? (I think it was that one... recognized it from Ferry's Infinite Euphoria CD). But really, MARK OLIVER MADE MY NIGHT!!!! OK, I got introduced to "real" trance with this tape I bought back in 2000 and he played so many tracks on it!!!!!!!!!!!!! I couldn't believe my ears man!... AYLA???? for and ANGEL??? HEART OF ASIA!!!! I knew that it's only goin upwards when he started his closing set with Niagara and it did, one track after the other.... cre8, surrender, jump the next train, silence, sweet sorrrow, sand in my shoes... MAN WAS I trippin ON all of em!!! I had one hell of a nite... walked back home in -10 degrees but so well worth it!!! And next time if NE1, I MEAN NE1 knows that Mark Oliver is spinnin trance please please please lemme know.... I will NOT miss it Thanks MO for the good time!

it was a pretty good nite...i liked christopher lawerence, but not someone i'd necessarily want to see again. he played nice tunes, but i still like hearing some more recognizable stuff thrown in. Good nite though, left somewhat early around 4ish though, to bad i missed marks closing. ohwell, next time.

the best hard trance I've heard in an loooooong time! Now I know why you guys love Christopher Lawrence so much! Felt like it was 1999 ... dark side baby!
Mark did a great job too! Played a some twisted shit to get everyone ready for Christopher Lawrence. Is there a headliner you can't you open for Mark? Seems like you can do it all.
Christopher Lawrence played some hard stuff which was really good to see and hear 
Mark Oliver is Mark Olver but he plays even better when he is rocking his Team Scotland soccer jacket 
holy fuck, its 8pm in the evening and my ears are still fuckin ringing,im gonna go deaf before im 30
