Got FS2 Today Yipeeeeeee

Im goin out to get a firewire card after the football match so once i get it set up and use it for a while i'll post an HONEST review (hopefully 2nite) for any1 whos interested in getting it or an alternative like SSL.

good ol' stanton

installer wont detect the scratchamp durin the installation of drivers

maybe shulda bought SSL...

perhaps its the firewire cardbus i bought? anybody in the know?

FS is a waste of cash for bedroom DJ's; er actually a waste of cash for anyone.

Posted by Basstard on Dec-19-2004 20:37:

in fairness, FS doesnt seem to be the problem rather its the FireWire card i purchased.

the guys over at NI seem to recommend a FireWire card that has a Texas Instruments chipset since thats what the scratchamp has. gonna order one of those bad boys and see if that helps.

still.. fcukin annoyed i couldnt get using FS2 2nite coz i've been waitin like a month on it

SSL is a much better product IMO. I used FS from December of 2003-August 2004, and than I got SSL. Every single problem that FS brought with it is gone in SSL.

AH !!!!
congratulation TranceSpeeder !
FS is ultra overpriced! with VDJ you really get what you pay for !
plus you have tons of effects and samples ! This software is the n1 in france, so you can trust me when I say it's not a piece of shit.

Posted by T-Soma on Dec-20-2004 11:10:

I tried VDJ and i dont realy like it... I just dont like the idea of not being able to acces all the features in one menu/screen

Posted by NEO!Geo on Dec-20-2004 11:24:

change your skin !
I agree with you, I don't like the default skin since the 2.0 version. That's why I'm still using the old one ( a little modified : I've removed the waveform and the BPM couter to have a true vinyl simulation.) for the samples you can use shortcuts !

Does anyone know where I can download that virtual DJ software? (I'd like to try it out.)

Where can I find the timecoded vinyls?

Will virtual DJ work with my MOTU 828mk2? (That is if I buy RCA - 1/4" adapters. The MOTU 828 mk2 is a outboard A/D convertor similiar to the MAYA 44.)

Why don't you just go to a shop and try it out?

Posted by NEO!Geo on Dec-20-2004 17:23:

you can find what you want here .

It works with every audio card, but you need one with 2 "line in" and 2 "line out" to use 2 turntables. And for "zero latency" you need an ASIO card.

Try it, you won't be disappointed !

we sell this one at my work, and i haven't heard complaints yet. Not sure if it's a TI chipset though, maybe a NEC.
